Who's gonna be riding Targhee?

I'll be there plenty.

All my roomates last year worked up there, but I don't think there was anything big to be aware of. Monday night football with free pizza at O'Rourks is a good thing. Shoot me a PM when you move here!

Nothing! There will be way more this year, need to hit it with good snow!

Trying to ski more this year, both at the ghee and at the rock.

Good.. very good. I'll be around all winter.. or most of the winter. Trying to pick up a collective pass, and for sure getting that new CAST. So I am down to come tour with you.. since the only person down here who tours will be gone most of the season.

I'll trade a jhmr half off voucher for a ghee full voucher. Same $50-$70 value. Thinking I'm gonna miss opening day unfortunately but I may hit monday 11/20 if conditions are worth driving over for lift access

I skinned up! (Thanks Cy!) conditions weren't too bad.. considering it's October.

Coverage isnt bad, any rock you really need to worry about you'll see. Good wind buffed pow in places, icy/heavy in others.

I think it's making a decent little base, and the next few storms that roll through should be good.

Already, opening day is next Friday.

We should have an NS meet up. I know there will be a few NSers coming up from Reno in late January.
 
Recent Ghee pics have been flooding my feed lately. Looks pretty mint for preseason. I've always argued that targhee has a deep to flat problem... when the snow is good the mountain is too flat. Anyway it looks worth the hike this past week and I hope some of you got the goods. I've been too busy surfing and visiting friends/fam back East.

Now that teton pass is filling in on both sides of the road, fewer Jackson peeps are even bothering to reverse commute over. This is prob the last weekend open to uphill travel before mountain ops closes it for pre-opening day work, but don't quote me on that.

Got my hands on a free day pass tomorrow to use some chairlifts at Targhee for the first time. Let me know if any of ya want to rip it up. So stoked to have more time to explore the hill without boot packing that whore.

I was up there Sat and Sun. Saturday was really good. Might come up this week.. if I do ill try to remember to post here.

I probably won't be able to make It to the Ghee again for awhile as that free ticket was just pure luck, but I'm always down to ski the pass or something. Let me know if you venture to the dark side and ski Jackson and I will always be down to ride!
 
Pass lap tomorrow morning so pm me your number if you wanna join. Either glory or avy bowl meet at the top of the pass around 9.

I should have a buddy from jackson joining me too. Both of us have hundreds of laps up there over the years
 
Bumping this thread. I grew up skiing Targhee and moved back to IF about 5 years ago. If anybody wants to carpool from IF and get some laps in just let me know.

-Headed to Grand Targhee resort, WY. willing to stay in any of the surrounding towns, Driggs Darby, Victor, Alta and the like.

-2 people

-Arriving Fri. evening March 2nd - leaving Sunday evening March 4th
