Whos going to Boulder Next year?

the day salt lake is the safest city in the u.s. I mean im no expert, i only stayed in downtown for one week but i almost got jumped twice and i saw more crack heads than i have ever seen, i did stay in the ghetto though so that may make my opinion bias.

but  yeah im going to boulder next year, should be dirt

stop being so arrogant. this whole thread you've been making outlandish claims and just saying things without any actual thought. each state is great, each has great skiing, each has hot girls.

who cares, if you're in college you're doing something right. and that's all that should matter, not "who's better" or who can post more and talk shit about other places.

end of thread. unless its gonna be productive this one should just stop while its behind.

the ghetto of salt lake is barely a ghetto anywhere else. although there are alot of tweakers around salt lake, unless you a complete bitch you wont get jumped around here.

oh yeah about a month ago some dude got shot right below campus at the U. thats street.

I was gonna say something like that but i wanted to end the bullshit. But yeah you should stop trying to keep saying ones better than the other. There both good in there own ways.

i didnt mean hood ghetto, i meant trashy ghetto, yes sl is a very clean city, but it just seemed like it had alot of drug poroblems, but i guess what city doesnt

I heard its really crowded, id rather stay in tahoe, resorts are like 45 minuets away, plus reno can be pretty rowdy

By the way, those who do go there, I was wondering what the best residence halls are besides farrand baker and libby?

umm, last time i checked, CSU was better at lacrosse. and you better check your definition of desert, cause SLC is closer to one than fort collins. it's also closer to skiing, but whatever, i still have 83 days in so far, so it's obviously not that big a problem.

whats the best residence hall to apply for? im in the business school and to be foreward i drink beer and do drugs so i dont want to be stuck in a substance free hall.

I got in to Boulder and THE U of Vermont. Right now I'm feeling like UVM is a better school academically with more legit kids, tonnss of smokin girls and it's on the WATER! If you can live with VT skiing, which is only an hour away versus boulders 2 plus it would be dope. PLUS montreal is only an hour away which is ggnnaaaarrr!

boulder is not 2 hours away from skiing. you can be at eldora or echo in 30 minutes. and 1:15 to breck and keystone if you know how to avoid traffic

and ill be at boulder in a few years

found this on teton gravity... thought it was interesting

I will offer a few reasons to still consider UVM, even though you should definitely go to CU. They are:

-Fall - if you thoroughly enjoy a New England fall, it doesn't happen in CO, and it happens like nowhere else in VT.

-Water - Lakes, rain, moisture in general are few and far between in CO. This becomes acutely apparent during the Summers there.

-Culture - While Boulder is bigger than Burlington, you have Montreal,

Boston, and New York within reasonable driving distances from UVM. CU

has Denver, which is OK, but just OK.

-East Coast vs. West Coast Mentality - UVM is derfinitely eastern

(duh). It's got that edge, like in Boston, where people are a little

bit prickish. But you know people aren't really being fake. At CU, it's

more like California. Everyone's really nice and friendly, but there's

an air of fakeness floating around everywhere. This isn't really an

edge to UVM, just something to think about.

You will find that everyone you meet at Boulder almost went to

Burlington, and vice versa. They even have this wierd Church St./Pearl

St. wrinkle in space where on any given day you really might as well be

in either place.
