how bad did it hurt and when... like all the time, or just when you tried to use your arm or decided to go skiing cause it was a sick day and then you just sorta fell over riding siwtch in some pow? seems like a broken bone would be pretty noticable... but then again im told collar bones you can get by without pain all the time... id quite like to save myself the hassle of x-rays and doctors and such so... im using this mecca of reliable intelligence as a cross-reference.... eh? oi? arf?

I broke mine when i was in first grade cause we were running down this big ass hill that got flat at the bottom, and i tripped on something right before th bottom, fell onto my face at the flat part and it broke. Well right after this (we were at recess) the teacher blew the whistle for everyone to come in, and my asshole friends didnt help me up and everyone went inside, and i couldnt pick myself up cause it was first grade and i was weak. Eventually some other kid from another recess helped me up, and i ended up breaking it really bad. I was out for a good 8 weeks or so, but then again this was in first grade.

yeah i broke mine in like 4th grade..it didnt hurt at all when it happened, it just felt weird..but then when i got to the hospital it hurt cus of the car ride and all the bumps driving..

i broke mine in january, It hurt like a fucking bitch, i think it snapped and cut a few nerves and it hurt fuckin insane bad, i have nerve damage and the inside of my left arm is numb. i couldnt move and it hurt to breath, some people its not bad my buddy broke his a skiid to the bottom of the run then to the lift back up to the Patrol shack. depends on the break, im a fucking tough kid and i can take pain like the best of them but it hurt fucking shitty bad, but read my signature for an example of my recovery,.

I broke mine in a wrestling match in december and didnt realize til after the match when it was sticking out like a mother.

I broke mine back in the beginning of December, was skiing again mid January. It really didn't hurt too bad if I didn't really move it.

PM Kevo.

He fucked the shit out of his. Pretty sure he has a few plates, handful of screws, all that fun stuff

justin (anathema) should be in here.

he broke his twice in the past like...month i believe...he broke it..then it was healing...then he re-broke it a little over a week ago.

the only thing i've ever broken is my chin..knock on wood.

Yeah I am what you might call "experienced" when it comes to the subject. I don't know how bad it hurts if you have a normal clean break because the two times I've broken collar bones they have been really fucked up (I've broken each one once).

I did this on March 10th-

and then I had to get surgery so it now looks like this-

From what I've heard from people who have had even minor fractures of their clavicle, it is always pretty painfull, and if it is a good enough break it is supposed to be one of the most painful things to break. If it is a complete break you know it because you can see it when you don't have a shirt on. Run your finger along it and you will probably know whats up, but if you are having pain in that area get it looked at. The shoulder is super super complcated and lots can go wrong.

yeah... see... mine only hurts when i do certian things... like i could ski, but then i fell over on it and it felt like bone grinding bone and ridiculous pain... and now its bruising all over.. maybe fracture or something

yeah sounds like it. The good thing is, 99 percent of clavicle fractures don't require any kind of surgery. Mine was in the top 1%... but if yours is just a standard fracture all the doctor is going to do is look at the x ray, give you a sling, and send you on your way. I still think you should get it checked out though, because so much can go wrong with your shoulder, and if it is broken you sure as hell don't want it to get worse.

I broke mine twice just a summer ago. The first time it hurt pretty damned bad all the time and the worst part was trying to get up in the morning... oh my God that was a bitch. The second time was actually a full break like the bones slipping past each other and that hurt for like a week but after that I didn't really feel much discomfort.

I broke mine last year and definatly remember feeling the bones grind together, that was such an awful feeling for about a week. Now i have a big bump at the healing point and my shoulder has never felt quite as strong; it took me a while to be able to lower my shoulder into people in lax.

If you have extreme bruising, and that sensation of bones grinding you should go to the doctor, neither of those things are good signs. They will probably just put you in a 'Figure 8' brace that will pull your shoulders back for a couple of weeks. Good luck with your healing bro.

my friend did the first year he tried skiing... he tried a rail and screwed up and one foot went off and he didnt turn.. fell and slammed his neck on the rail... afterwards he clamied he tried a one footed 50-50.. yeah right

i havent broke my collar bone but i popped my shoulder out a couple years ago. ive heard that it hurts just as much. and wow did it fucking hurt

I broke my collar bone two weeks ago. At first it hurt all the time but after a few days it only hurt when I moved it.

And now I barely feel anything, it just feels a little sore when I move it in a awkward possition.

it hurts pretty badly at first, but after about a week, the pain changes drastically for the better. I wouldnt go skiing with it only because the doctors told me that if i rebroke it, then i would have to get surgery on it, and i realy dont think its worth it
