Who's bought a Kracked Skull longboard on my recommendation?

i'm lookin at gettin one of these boards soon, but i'm not totally sure what length i want to get.

if anyone wants to recommend a length for me i'm 5'9" about 120 lbs. and i'll probably mostly be cruising and sliding and riding whatever hills i can find here in South Carolina.

It's pretty damn near impossible to slide with the KS boards (if by sliding you mean whipping them out sideways) because they have no nose lip. If you're looking to bomb mad hills get the 44, if you're mostly looking to cruise around with a few light hills here and there get the 41.

I can slide mine but the wheels really hold me back since the flashbacks are so grippy (they dont slide smooth). Some 81a/84a Strikers would be bomb on the M1 i would think.

Yeah, it is possible but it's definitely way harder and takes a lot more skill. And on my 46"er (also on Flashbacks) shit just isnt happening haha.

Yeah I made slide gloves because without em its ubder hard. A short version of the simitar with some Strikers would be super dope i would think though

this is mine, not as sweet as yours but still not too shabby

can someone tell me the difference between the scimtar and the M1, or is it the same just different sizes and flex and stuff

As far as I know, the scimitar is more..cut, I guess you could say, so that you can use larger wheels. I have the scimitar, my boyfriend has the m1, and I love them both haha. So I guess it depends on what size wheels you like. Other than that I'm not sure..

The M1 is a good choice, I'd go with some abec 11 strikers, good cruisin' wheels that slide well, randall 11 trucks are pretty standard, and some redz bearings, which are pretty quick and smooth rolling, and only like 12 bucks, so they won't bust your wallet

and that reply was just off my head, if you're gonna order the M1 from their site, already built, you can get it with randall trucks, 77mm strikers, and then just use those bearings, they'll be fine. and get the 43", just cause

I ordered mine awhile ago so I don't know exactly, but I remember it came way sooner than I expected. The guy who runs it is fucking awesome.

Okay, so i've never really skateboarded before but i want to get a longboard to cruise about, learn to bomb a few hills when i go and live in france.
i'm about 5'8/9. 170. (jeez)

M1? Size? (40/43/46?)
Just gonna get the normal Randall Trucks,
Not sure what size of wheels?

Help? haha please

Im just about the same size as you and I have the 46" M1, perfect size for cruising around and its really stable when your bombing a hill

I got the 70mm flashbacks and they work really well

At that size, and if you want to bomb hills, 46". Get the biggest wheels you can, the bigger they are the smoother the ride will be, and obviously the more shit you can roll over.

46" M1 with 70mm flashbacks would be dope. Good cruising board, but tighten the trucks down a bit and you can carve those hills like mad.

Thank You All!

I shall get ordering my board sometime soon.....when i have money. hmmdam i need alot of money for living in france :(

what are the differences between the m1 and scimitar

i know the scimitar can hold larger wheels but it also comes in shorter sizes

I don't ride mine as much as I should. I guess I don't really live in an area that makes it easy, and no one to ride with. I'm also a really busy person. So, I'm thinking of selling it. I've used it less than a dozen times. If you're interested, PM me.

bump. im a noob to longboarding but anyways... what would be a better board for a begginer of the two? im like 5'6''/7 and i would probably get a 42' scimitar or 43' m1. but i dont know what wheels or bearing to get. can somone help me on this? and i will be cruising through some light to medium hills through neighborhoods.

I can do standup 180 slides on my 40" M1 with Flashbacks. The board is great for sliding, it's super low so you can just whip it into slides. The flashbacks are pretty inconsistent sliders though, with hard wheels it would be super fun.

Yeah my flashbacks slide like shit and wear super fast when I'm sliding. I'm thinking of getting some 84a strikers to solve that problem though...

do it for the price its thebest you can get, it pretty similar to a loaded dervish, just a lot cheaper

I'm riding 75a's right now...would 81a suffice for sliding or should i go for the 84a?

probably doesn't matter. 84's will break quicker, if you slide a lot get 84s. I like the 81's, they're still pretty smooth and soft for riding. I don't know about 84's, but there can't be that big of a difference

waiting for my M1 to come in and i cant wait to put some bones reds on them

thanks Ryno and Mutombo too for the help

i bought one a little while ago from the recommendation of the posters in this thread and its soooo fun. i already skateboarded but this is my first longboard and i've been doing the parking garage thing as well as some big hills. still don't have gloves and i can't slide yet.

just finished up riding my new M1 and i fuckin loved it. thank you ryno for showing me the light. ill post some pics of it when i get the time. and if anyone needs a discount use KSK.

longer boards handle better on steeper terrain. and are more stable at higher speeds. shorter boards are better for more of flatground riding and moderate sized hills.
