Whopperfreakout.com

that could be real. some people really love the whoppers. i love them whopper jr's just because they are a dollar, and if they stopped selling those i wouldn't go anymore. those burgers are what a fast food burger should look like. first time i saw those commericals it was hilarious. but some are probably fake.

I'm not surprised though. i'd be pissed if i was handed a big mac after ordering a whopper. but i wwouldn't react like those guys... i'd laugh. the last few guys looked like they could murder someone

watched the video on the website and it's probably fake. i thought it was real until i saw the guy with the wendy's burger. and why would Burger King do this stunt. they could potentially lose a bunch of customers.

I WANT AN EXPLANATION. IS IT REAL OR FAKE.

its legit ive seen commercials on the tv. i think they are tryin to say that people love thier burgers and would freakout without them, which is stupid.

its probably real, at they end of the movie it showd that they admitted it was a prank and the king brought them a burger, and no one really freaked out that much, they reacted how i would expect people to react if the main menu item at any store was discontinued... funny movie for sure

the only time i have ever had a whopper was when i was in anaheim. we just walked like 3 blocks down to this cheap shopping place and to get some actual food from this grocery store. but we stopped at burger king because we had to catch the bus fast.

i dont think i'll ever have one again.

its called viral marketing. get used to it. you're going to see it a lot more often. its to market to people just like YOU.

i could easily see it being fake. lots of companies are coming up with stuff like this just to get free publicity and get people talking about the business. Any customers who got genuinely pissed off with this prank wouldn't even be noticed, if any of those reactions were from actual customers.

I would have reacted the same way. Whoppers are the definition of a good burger (or at least the best you'll get at a fast food place).

the last time i had a whopper i almost puked (i was gaggin) last time i went to burger king was over a year ago... i would take a double cheeseburger over those P.O.S's anyday of the week

The simple fact that we're talking about this on this skiing website proves that this kind of marketing is extremly effective advertising towards our demographic. I personally thought those commercials were some of the funniest/best commercials I have ever seen. Partly probably because I've been working in restaurants for the last seven years, but still I can't see how anyone wouldn't find that funny.

Also, all those people you see had to have signed a photo release for the video of them to legally air. Which means, in the end, they were eventually told the truth. They probably thought it was funny as hell after they calmed down, especially after hearing that they might be on TV for it. So I really doubt burger king lost very many customers over this.

As for not believing that people actually freaked out like that. You have no idea how looney people are until you've worked at one of these places. I've seen people freak out like that because there's pickles on their burger that wasn't supposed to have pickles on it. When people are hungry they can be absolutely insane.

It's definitely real.

REALLY?! thanks for fuckin explaining that- i'm sure NOBODY understood the point OR also saw the commercials on TV. retard...

think about it burger king was the only company that never sold out and went to health food. they just kept on trucking, none of this mc salad bullshit. we should all be repping them to the end.

yeah well im pretty sure theres a fucking thread about the fucking commercial and what the fuck its about, fucktard facefucker

god i love the internet

I hate this type of marketing; I wish that some group with media access would challenge this ad in particular.

it holds so many different levels of advertisement

not only is it getting you to want to buy a whopper

it is also suggesting that the removal of the whopper from the menu will cause you to go crazy.

it advertises against making a move towards healthy living (such as current legislation against trans-fat, and possible future legislation against the holy whopper*)

*of course this is hypothetical and only wishful thinking on my part

we have been marketed to death, and now believe that fast food is necessary in our lives. The suggestion is that we wouldn't be able to live with out it (oh the irony).

Here’s an open challenge for fellow NS'rs: give up fast food for as long as you can come New Year. Just see if you can make it a month. For the adventurous learn to cook your own food, I’d bet that no matter how bad of a cook you are, you'll be able to make something more tasty than anything you'd find at Mackers or from the King.

"you are what you eat" might actually be true

quadruple stackers are where its at if u wanna spend 15 for fast food

excepts for wendys, which is influenced by God

although that was an enlightening post ecst101, going off into different

tangents about transfats and your total lack of faith in human beings to willingly abstain from fast food. the problem is, you think too much.

there is nothing wrong with eating healthy, but saying that we are helpless to the fast food business is ridiculous.

you also don't know what i meant by viral marketing do you? maybe you are taking the word viral too literally.

the length of this thread means the ad has been sucessful. who fucking cares if its real or not? all ads are fake. its a fast food place and its a shitty burger. let it go.

Funny thought, i never really eat fast food, and if i do its NOT bk but for some reason after watching again i had the urge to eat a whopper....subliminal messaging maybe?

There are atleast 4 million people who are helpless to the fast food industry, so i wouldn't say that it's too ridiculous.

and i'm aware of what viral marketing is, it's just this particular ad pisses me off so much. it crosses the line of what should be acceptable marketing. I'm just upset there isn't someone out there who has a big enough voice to call it out the King on the claims it is making

the thread is about the website- hence the name "Whopperfreakout.com. (-1 point for you)

it's clear after reading all the posts above yours that everyone posting in this thread has both SEEN the commercial (-1 point for you) and UNDERSTANDS what the point of it is (-1 point for you).

and yes, i am a facefucker- i skullfucked your mom until she cried last night (-1 point for you).

next time, actually read the thread before you try to "contribute"... you might find that the entire world is about 15 steps ahead of you and you're just completely fucking stupid.

4:08 and 6:41 are priceles moments the guy at 6:41 is literaly about to choke someone out and then the king walks out and he is like looks like a lil kid at christmas...

does it just load a video? because all mine is saying is [this is whopperfreakout] and what would happen

i used to work at buger king, and i cant even eat that shit anymore...working there was some of the worst 3 weeks of my life without question. One morning i woke up and was supposed to be at work in like 10 minutes and dicieded i was never going to that place again for the rest of my life and quit. then slept more and showed up 2 weeks later to pick up my check after not saying shit about quitting or anything. it was too much oil and grease.

fuck whoppers and burger king.

i will giving my business to mcdonalds for now on.
