hey i was on ns and getting all excited about the england game tomorrow, and just wondered who all you canadiuan football fans were following in the tournament, its been a wicked world cup so far and i just pray england can qualify especially as it looks like france might go out

ps all you americans who diss soccer and the world cup, your missing out, the whole world is partying together and your not interested, and the best party will tomorrow when england beat argentina COME ON!

It is nice to other countries doing well, I just kinda hate how americans try to be good at everything. It kinda seems like we take up sports we suck at and and then try to dominate them. Just kinda fun to root against your home team sometimes!

Adam, what do you eman that the US just steals players from other nations?? Every player on the US squad is an american citizen. Sure, some of them play in European leagues, but that's because there's more opportunity there. But they are still all american.

lol, oh man. The us team has a bunch of good players, but sience they're all from different countries w/ diff. langs. I think communication would be a problem on the field. Who cares about mens soccer anyway? Go watch the girls.

My family is all from England, and the only league I ever watch is the English premiership (I'm a big Liverpool fan). Other than that, I just cheer for who I chose to win in my pool. To many fucking upsets this year though. I'm getting SCHOOLED!

i dont understand how ppl can like soccer so much and think its so exciting~theres no hitting and i saw a score today of 0-0~~how can that be exciting...but the more i think about it i geuss baseball is just as boring cause theres only like a 1 min or 2 of exciting action in a 3+hour game

But if i had to pick a team to root for its gotta be Cameroon!!!

I want england to win, cause of hargreaves, and my family is originaly british. and in response to watching soccer. It is pretty much only interesting, when u know who is playing, and have an interest in at least one of the teams. U also pretty much have to play futbol as well, or u don't understand, or even recognize why the players are doing what they are doing. and the last 0-0 game I saw was amazing!!! and how the hell did the states beat portugal???? no disrespect to americans, but....what????...how??? it shouldn't be possible!!!

I was thinking the same thing. You gain a greater appreciation for the sport by actually playing it. I think same goes for any sport. Also having some passion helps too. I can't just watch a game if it's between two teams I don't like, and I don't care who wins. That's why I enter pools. Makes things so much more interesting.

I'm a big fan of the French team (being french myself) but they arent doing very well and I don't think that they will make it past their next game tuesday. damn.

I guess I will root for whichever team is playing well and not commiting cheap fouls, pretending to be hurt, or with a bad attitude.

hahahah we beat argentina, kinda only just stopped celebrating,

i understand that soccer doesnt have high scores, but it is the simplest purest game anywhere, and its tyhe only sport where u literally need a ball and nothing else and you can recreat the stuff the guys at the top of thwe world game are doing, whwere else can u do that, certainly not skiing. I definitely think playing the sport makes u appreciate it more as well, but trust me if you watched one of the old football nations matches in that nation youd understand how imoportant it is, this countyr just went insane yesterday

Ya, you definatly need to play soccer to understand it. Otherwise, what they are doing doesn't appear as difficult as it truly is.

Also, countries go crazy about the World Cup. I was in France during the 98' WC, and let me tell you. The nation basically stopped during a match. It's pretty amazing.

the USA does take all their players from other countries, but sill, i live in teh Us, so i'm rooting for the US team. Also, they actually tied south Korea, which is amazing in itself, cuase teh US team usualy does blow ass.

lol they do have a website with a schedule..but yea there is a game at 2 am and one at 5am and then replays during the day like in the afternoon

my bad late reply...what i mean by we steal other players is that its...ok this is a stupid statement...that most of the players on our team(s) for any sports are from other countries or have other nationalities in their blood...but i think diversity is great before all of you shit on me...i've been in more ara driven protests than i can count...but its like you see columbia, they all look the same, same w/most of the south american teams, all the chinese teams look chinese. i've always thought to some extent that the 'ignorant' american society always feels it needs to be the best and baddest at everything...i mean yeah all the athletes we have are great, serious people and they should be commended for what they do and how dedicated they are...i know i could never be like that. but otherwise, look how we made the dream team to crush everyone in olympic basketball, then attempt to do it somewhat in hockey...it use to be the us stood by not putting professional athletes in the olympics some like 15 years ago, then when they don't win a sport they go against what they said...that went off on a complete tangent, but did that make any sense at all?
