Who will admit to being a bad skier?

I'm pretty bad at park. Doesn't help that I haven't skied it in a while and that my knee gives out on landings =D. I hate rails (probably because I'm not very good at them). I do still like jumps and pipe but I'm just not very stylish. I suppose if I dedicated more time to developing my park skills I would get better, but the hill where I teach has only rails (not happening).

I work hard on developing my on- (and off-) piste skills though - level 3 here I come!

I rip the SHIT out of everything I ride.

But really, I'm alright at rails, but awful at jumps.

But I'm pretty good at just regular riding.

give me a gnarly pow line and a pair of cross country skis and I'll impress you, give me a rail and I'll 90 on maybe 270 out if I'm feeling lucky, maybe a switch up on a box or two. give me a jump and I'll do a 3 or a backflip.

so park, not so much

pow/anything backcountry and I'll be juuust fine

Oh with respect to everyone else on this site I suck. I'll be the first one to admit after skiing since 7th grade (I now teach 8th grade) I still have trouble 270-ing onto a rail ha ha. I have found my comfort list of tricks of what feels fun through he air. I try not to force anything and focus more on style and what does not only look good, but feels good too.

Do I always have a smile and give out at least 5 high 5's a day on the mountain...yes.

lets just say im compairable to that wallisch guy...

no, i just started this year, im not sick, but the learning part is so fun.

cant wait till the day i get my lincon loop (not sure what im doing, but im just hucking my self)

I honestly believe I am a terrible skier, and I am talking SKIING, not skiing.
I mean the best trick I have done would be 2 on continuing switch up pretzel 4 out (GAHZOMGCLAIMERCLAIMERCLAIMER!!!!!11!!!1!) on an urban style down rail.

But when it comes to SKIING, I cant really say that I have much competence. I can imagine that tanner hall would have done a better job explaining it... after a few drinks of course.

I'm out there for fun for sure! I've been skiing for 13 years so i'm not too bad at it in general. In the park I can't throw anything over a 5. I guess in general you could say i'm a great skier. I enjoy skiing no matter what i'm doing though, Powder, park, steeps, even groomers! I make a fun situation out of whatever and wherever I ski.

well i went to gmvs for a while to practice racing (ive been racing for about 13 years) and ive been riding park for about 2 year (actually 3 but i was injured most of last year) i would like to be much better at park though.

im bad at park and its my 1st year doing park.. but i like the rest of the mountain (10 yrs skiing).. ill just keep practicing or somethin n ill catch on to park eventually

you dont get magically better by moving out west, hell ive probably got worse at park since ive been doin so much more big mountain

This is me. I landed a penciled 5 once, fucking best day ever. I ski in Jersey, so hitting jumps is somewhat of a huge risk if you even land a little off 90. I feel like if I was out west I would have a lot more confidence because I know the jumps have give.

I also love to shred pow, fucking love it, I feel so much more confortable boosting off of windlips than any park jump at my hill.

Well obviously I am a good skier, decent in the park. I like to try and do some good tricks in the park but I know I have limits and skiing park is always (well usually) fun.

I love all the G.N.A.R. references : )

but really... I'd say I'm a good skier everywhere but park. Just started this year and still kinda suck (but getting much better with time)

sounds like a lot people are on the same page... or at least the ones responding to this thread (may say something...)

Technically I'm one of the best skiers pretty much anywhere I go, not trying to be cocky, but I am. It's rarely I see someone who's better than me.

In the park...? I suck pretty hard. I can do 3's, 1's, sw 1's and sometimes land a sw 3. I haven't ski'd any rails or boxes in a long time, but I remember I can do a 270 out. Hell yeah!
