Bud Light is owned by a massive company, but it was one of their best sellers. So the answer is yes, they are down bad, but its not like they're going out of business.

OG Coors gets zero shelf space around me. Its easily my favorite and I honestly am over paying money for fancy beer. Typically when buying mass produced Domestic beers you know how many you want and cans vs bottles.

I cannot go anywhere and reliably purchase 30 vs 12 vs 18 cans or 12 pack of bottles vs 12 cans etc etc of OG Coors I have been cheering the Bud Light saga on so I can buy Banquets in the amount I want easier not because transgender people effect my day to day life in any way.
 
I have a good friend that works for a part of Budweiser. Yeah this hurt them pretty good but like mentioned above, InBev is a huge company that manufactures and distributes lots of other beers along with other beverages. This loss to them means they wont be getting that multi million dollar bonus at the end of the year. Oh shucks.

I think beer sales are generally down, while ready-made canned cocktails, whiteclaws, etc sales are up. I think a decent amount of people are actually boycotting as well.

Politics aside I think the boycott is incredibly dumb. I would never bother to look up which companies associate themselves with people I don't agree with and then make a concerted effort to not buy from them.
 
I feel like most people are already pretty over light beer to begin with... Besides this stupid homophobic protest, Bud Light's days were numbered anyway, I reckon.

But then again, I guess people dont drink it because its good, they drink it because it's utterly cheap trash - which aligns perfectly into the cheap-trashy demographic of the dingdongs who are protesting it lol.

Just because trashy people drink light beer doesn't mean everyone who does is trashy. I know tons of people who drink light beer, including myself (insert fat joke) but I haven't bought bud light in ages, Coors light, Miller, Michelob, all superior to bud light.

Light beer will always be around because it's "healthier" and cheap, gets ya fucked up and goes down easy.

Cheap yes. Healthier is a HUGE stretch.That's like saying diet coke is healthier simply because it substituted HF corn syrup for aspertame. Alcohol isn't particularly healthy to begin with, and any 'low calorie' advertising you see or hear is really disingenuous.

Affordability is the only real benefit, and that's fine. I wouldn't judge someone for that. If you actually like the flavour? I mean.. more power to you... nothing really wrong with being a cheap date...

But most of the people are drinking lite beer just to get drunk cheap and easy... That should never really be the goal for someone who's older than like.. I dunno maybe 25? Otherwise, that's really just the alcoholism talking.. and if you're gonna be an addict, at least choose some better quality drugs... You don't choose to smoke crack when there's pure cocaine available.

That's not what I said. I said drinking lite beer just to get drunk cheap and easy sounds a lot like alcoholism, and if youre gonna be an addict, at least be a classy one if youre over the age where your prefrontal cortex is mature...

Is anybody else on the Stella train? I honestly only drink Stella Artois. It seems like thats whats always popping up in skate videos (which I know is a dumb ass reason and I'm a lemming but whatever) but I also like that it kinda tastes like weed.

If Stella isnt available I usually go Modelo then Miller.

Prefer Peroni at the minute. Always have a phase somewhere that I crush a lot of Stellas for a month or two.

Fuck me the seltzer prices are crazy. It seems like 11 per 4 pack or 20+ per 8 pack is the norm for everything but the cheapest garbage.

some are actually pretty fucking bomb. i got a buddy in BC who does all his own brewing which means he can play with different flavors and abv%. Through university there were some awful ones that fucked you up something special but now hes got a good handle on it. check out @Taprootferments on ig if youre interested

I don't even like light beer but that's an L take. I guess I drink a lot of rainier these days which is light ish but not a light beer. More comparable to a pbr. Idk people can drink what they want. No need to call anyone an alcoholic especially over beer, when you drink beer.

I also heard that there is incredible research being done directly linking the amount of Busch light drank to prefrontal cortex development lmao.

Post reads like it's from someone who had a sip of PBR in college, didn't like that it wasnt sweet and sugary and has spent all their time since drinking hot choccy.

Besides, any good alcoholic knows that there are many cheaper and quicker ways to get drunk besides lite beer.

Man PBRs are the perfect river beer. Tall can 6 packs can be found for very cheap as well
