Who thinks Stratton Sucks

there may be shittier mountains than stratton, but proportional to the price of a ticket... stratton is like a 4 or a 5 (out of 10) and charge what like $80
 
all my snowboarder friends say they have one of the top 5 parks in the country. i then proceed to take a dump on their chest
 
yea itll be sick in th spring i hope...none of this "come ski jiminy" bullshit...its like a what 1-2 hour drive between them...sack up
 
stratton is wicked gay about letting people ride the open setup so you have to poach which is sketch

p.s. i moved to CO this summer and i agree with the kid who said no one on the east coast is spoiled
 
haha silly east coasterners..... come to the west side of the states and see what a mountain actually is....
 
Do you have any idea how much of a liability it would be to let anyone that felt like it to hit 65-80 ft tables that theyve had up there in the past???

On another note, I just was up there the other day and I was actually not dissapointed with the quality of the JUMPS. Usually Stratton has terrible no-lip jumps but there is a couple quite nice medium sized tables with some boot on em.

p.s. if you go up midweek its not hard to hit any of that US/VT Open shit
 
^you make a good point about liability but that is why they have the park pass deal right? but yea on wednesdays you could always get in there, except last year they took it down less than 2 weeks later...
 
Thats why you gotta get up there early...not to mention the fact that Stratton is usually only even open for 2-3 weeks after the Opens.

but the stupid part is stratton has the resources the snowmaking the cats and the rails and everything. and are fully capable of making the sickest park

one of the big reasons why it sucks this year is that there has been absolutely no snow there was a period from early january to mid february and then until now that there was no snow for pretty much at least a month as for why they havent set up all those sick rails they have lying behind the igloo...hwo konws theyve definitely been lacking though
 
im so sick of hearing these east coast bitches complaining. yu have a mountain with a park and a park staff and people who care for your park even if it is 80$ i dont wanna hear your shit. god.
 
STRATTON SUCKS. I live in New Jersey, and there are sooooooooo many more places I would rather ski than at Stratton. I will give you multiple reasons

1) aka Flatton, no truly difficult terrain

2) lift ticket prices 70+ dollars for shit?

3) the base is sooo obscenely overly developed

4) Full of assholes from MA, NJ (word), NY

5) always packed, unless midweek

6) flat out unenjoyable

7) skiing is so watered down it isn't even skiing anymore

8) IT SUCKS
 
The good thing is you can get a pass if your in college, unrestricted for $299 that is good for Okemo and Sunapee as well. Not a bad price.
 
^if you had read my list of 7 reasons why I hate stratton and will avoid it at all costs, you would have never gone there in the first place
 
give me one good reason why it is better than killington other than park (which is an arguable point to say the least). Killington blows flatton out of the water. But, be my guest please chill with the fur clad, hummer driving new jersey folk at Stratton and don't get in my way
 
^stratton's skiing just plain blows,

mount snow killy stowe sugarbush, ect are better.

and most those mountain parks are better,

besides sugarbsh and maybe killy or stowe
