Who the fuck steals skis.

The 40 year old fuckers that you see hanging around the lodge with no ski boots on. Not young skier/snowboarders who are just out there to have fun.
 
motherfucker, this week has just been bad, so many people getting shit stolen. stop stealing skis people you are not cool.
im just guessing here, considering alot of stuff seems to get jacked there but, nashoba?

they cant do anything unless you can some how prove it which you cant.
 
karma's gonna butt fuck them in the future for sure, dont worry about that, but i do wonder why more cases of stolen skis dont show up more, when you leave them outside the lodge or whatever you know? someone could jack them so quick, its just respect for your fellow skiers... only fags steal skis
 
if they're on craigslist it would be real easy to send the guy an email saying you want to buy them, have him meet you in a secluded parking lot someplace, beat his ass with a crowbar, and take them back. What is he gonna do? Tell the cops someone stole his stolen skis?

But seriously if you filed a police report for the stolen skis and they showed up online for sale, the cops would actually help you out, especially if it was something local like craigslist. And even on ebay you can arrange for local pickup. Because the guy would obviously be selling them from a nearby location. There are ways to do it.
 
I use an engraver to mark my name some where on my skis where it will not mess anything up, on the side wall usually. Then I get some ugly ass stickers, my favorite is these Boeing 777 stickers my dad got at work. They make the skis look cheap and used and people are a lot less likely to steal them. If you never plan on selling your skis get some gray spray paint and do some random spray paint on the top sheet.

And if you are vain like most skiers, you fucking skittles, then when you put your skis on the rack mix and match them with your buddies skis. If some one is going to steal them it will take them a while to get both skis and make it more likely that they will get scared or some one will see them.

Lastly try not to take your skis off at the base, bring a lunch and eat at the lodge at the top of the hill. And if you do take them off at the base lean them up against the window and not in the rack, again thieves are looking for easy opportunities and the more risk you make the less likely you are to be victimized.

Sorry for the long post but one more thing. Get a lock if you can't afford new skis because one thing to always remember is that if something is stolen in the end it is your fault for not securing your shit.
 
Economy is down for a lot of people. Some people can recognize either skis worth stealing, or skis that can be resold easily enough, and are using an easy opportunity.

Lets face it, we're not exactly protective of our gear when we let it sit next to 90 other pairs of unlocked skis with 3-4 people grabbing / setting skis down every 10 seconds.......

And we go inside and dick around for 20-30 minutes in the cafe and the bathrooms drying our gear.

We make it too easy for thieves. The biggest question is how do they sell them. The wise way would be to part the bindings so that way we can't recognize the combo if we see them on ebay / craigslist, so who knows, we may be even buying stolen gear on NS..........Everyone should etch something in under their boots for easy identification.

But it doesn't matter, all someone has to do is not include that shot of the skis in a photo and we would never see it.

 
back when i snowboardd about 4 years ago, someone stooped so low to steal a rental, which mademe had to steal someone elses, i aint payin for shit i didn't lose, its gay seriously, if u cant afford skis at the time, save up for some because it would be a bitch to have it happen to you
 
fucking faggots thats who, i have only had the oppurtunity to have my skis jacked from me once,,, but i carved my crew name in the topsheet so the kid got his ass beat when i saw him at lost trail one day.. haha then i sold the skis cause the kid fucked the bases

The real question is who the fuck steals poles? I mean seriously? My cheap ass bent broken-basket swix poles got jacked yesterday. Obviously someone though my UVM ski and snowboard club sticker job was awesome, but don't take my damn poles.
 
same thing happened here... i had rentail poles which were bent and the baskets were cracked but i painted them to make em look baller and someone jacked them. too bad theyre worth like 7dollars.

and that sucks about your skis getting stolen man best of luck finding who did it and getting your shit back.
 
my friend had his jacket stolen 2 weeks ago and his poles and skis stolen this weekend. it sucks cauz he doesnt have any money to buy new shit. And his poles were missing a basket, the grips held on with duct tape and bent. fucking gay.
 
say you want to buy them then meet him with the cops somewhere or kick the shit out of him with a bunch of your peeps dumbass
 
I watched a guy put down his skis, walk inside, and then someone else came up and tried to jack them.I had like a 15 minute conversation with the guy and told him to put the fucking skis back. He didn't listen so I told a ski patrol, who saved the guys skis and got that guy banned. I'm weak as shit, I couldn't beat someone up if I tried.

people that steal skis are inconsiderate douche bags. How would they feel if their skis were taken?

I wouldnt have it in me to take skis , I would feel too bad for the person.
 
yeah i would never steal someones skis. a day or so later i would get horrible karma and like hit a tree or something
