Just wondering who/how many peeps here telemark....thinking about starting a cult and/or just want to get in touch with fellow freeheelers.

 
first of all I am a SHE...No pinky nickname that's true..but anyways..

Oh and I didn't know about the "claim"...but thanks for the advice...I'll consider it very seriously.

I was wondering, how different does free heeling actually feel than regular skiing. Im considering trying it once this year just to see what its like.
 
tele's are so fun for just skiing but its scary as hell trying anything and if you land forward your screwwd

my friends brother has telemark bindings on his karmas. he can spin with them and do rails and such. its so sick
 
this one guy with teles was in a slpoestyle i was in and he like goes 180 craseh get up tries a 3 crasehs gets up tries a kang and crashes gets up then he tries to hit the quarter pipi/tree jib and crashes again it was pretty funny
 
Is it hard to get used to it, or is it straight up learning something completely new?

Some of the sickest skiers at the Freeskiing Tour stop at Snowbird last year were freeheelers.

Adam at Bluehouse Skis is also a freeheeler.
 
Damn. Btw, who was that chick who did freeheel park? She was considering switching to alpine, but she was like the only telemarker, and was worried her sponsors would drop her.
 
i will tele on 18" or less powder days. so much fun but a hell of a quad workout. anything over that and it gets tough to do a proper tele turn. thats when i pull out the prophet 130's and work on the switch pow turns. mostly park with the alpine gear on though.
