Who still has to deal with dial up?

well unfortunately where i live dial up is the only option. there is no cable service here and way too far out for dsl. the only psuedo option is satellite which is damned expensive ( $600 in equipment cost and $60 a month) anybody else still have to deal with dial up?

I know realize how much of my life that I wasted waiting for pictures to pop up with dial up. We don't have any cable option where I live but luckily we had the option of wireless internet

I havent had dial up for 6 years. We have cable its sick how fast downloads are. We have cable at school also.

Hold on...what? You have to have either cable, dsl or or satilite to support a WiFi system. Unless your town set up huge WiFi broadcasters and pays your connection fees...some town in ohio did it so i dunno.

i have road runner and i love it, my computer is pretty fast, except for the fact that i just downloaded limewire, so it's running alittle bit slower now. But now when i use a dial up computer i just wanna throw it out the window, because i am impatient.

i remember it took me like 3 weeks to download some porn that lasted like 5 or 6 mins.. and when it was over i was like FUCK that was short.. but man i sure did have a huge porn collection from dialup.. .. its not worh the patience now if i used dial up i'd just run it off and probialy kick the shit out of whoever invented it.

my moms pad out in tahoe has to. its out in tha cut so we fukn dont even get cable! it takes me 5 mins to load a myspace page aswell. and whats even funnier is were like 5 mins from northstar and they have high speed there but they wont hook us up or even give me espn/mtv2. but im not really sweating cuz i get cartoon network, and its free. plus im out in tha bay now so i dont really care.

encourage your neighbors to get wireless or something. Now, I don't have to deal with dial up at my house. Also, do not get the satillite thing. it sucks. It takes at least 6 seconds for every new page to load cause the satellite is so far away.
