Who Shoots Film?

I still love to shoot film and do routinely. It's a good way to make yourself slow down and think about your shots more.

If you are a film shooter

1) what's your favorite film stock and processing method (if you develop your own stuff),

2) what lab do you use or do you develope your own

3) what camera do you use (including format).

Please share images as well I always love seeing film shots.

These are a few of my most recent (shot on 35mm ektar 100)

Yooo I love shooting on film!

I use Kodak D-76 developer stock

I develop my own, my university has a dark room I can use for free.

Shot on a Canon AE1 (35mm) for a while until my whole camera bag got stolen.

I did have a backup Pentax SP 500 (35mm) that I use now.

I just shoot B/W Ilford films, I'll scan some of my prints in, and post em here later.

I shoot a Pentax sp-2 I love that camera. It's 40 years old, has never been serviced and works perfectly

My fav films are B&W: IllfordHP5+, Color: Porta 400

I develop my own film

I have a Leica M3 (35mm) and sometimes rent a Hasselblad 500cm (medium)

I shoot with an Olympus OM-1

I like Ektar and Provia

I don't process my own film; don't have the space, time, or money unfortunately.

There's two main reasons I shoot film - first, it allows me to engage with the process of photography more intentionally, I press the button, and I'm done - no second chance, no LCD screen review, nothing. Focus, shoot, continue on with whatever I'm doing (usually traveling)

The second reason is that I like the unexpected things that come from reviewing photos when you get them back from the lab. Film does some strange things sometimes; so do old cameras. New cameras are way more predictable.

I bought a hassy and took it on a trip a while ago - I enjoyed it, but honestly not as much as my little OM-1 and 35mm film. Not sure what it was about it.

I just got a bunch of film back from London, so that'll be fun to go through.
