tons of pros race. Jon raced, pollard raced, many of the best pros these days raced. it simpily helps your skiing. 1/2 of the people on here probable cant 'ski' properly for shit. they may be able to jump there asses off but skiing a run with style is a challange...im not saying people need to have been racers to ski well but generaly most good skiers came from a racing background...

i myself used to be a racer, and i hold nothing against them. but when they decide that because their skis cost over 1000, and are hella fast, their shit dont stink..fuck that. if they are down to earth, then its cool. but when they get the idea that they race, so they own the mountain...they should die...

the reason a lot of kids (not ALL, but most) start out racing is because they dont know any better, nor do their parents. their parents just put them in it and they dont give a shit as long as they can ski. most of them realise the spandex and just going straight is gay, and then quit. a lot switch to freestyle but some just freeride, but nowadays freestylers and racers alike just quit both and swith to newschool. its just the way of life kids.

why would you post this thread in the first place? what does it say for you that you can come on the forum and immediatly call out an entire group of freeskiers by saying 'i'm a racer and i can take all of you' what does that prove? does it make you feel better? who gives a fuck if you are a racer, it's what you like to do. i personally don't think it is fun compared to my skiing style, it seems too much like work to me. but i have to let you in on a little secret, some of us get free skis and get to travel also, not just you. in fact, alot of people get much more than that.

i don't know what your problem is, but you need to calm down...

What the fuck? I do moguls and freestyle moguls and don't give a rats ass if I'm better than anybody I'm not competing against. While I'm not racing I do back country and parks for some really big air, and the guys that hang out there and have never raced a day in their lives have taught me some helpfull shit. For you that say 'I race and can take anybody', Go try and slide a good c or s-rail. Still think racing improved your balance? It's mostly bullshit. Yeah it helps but it aint the cure. I race and can beat you through a mogul feild. Who the fuck cares? You jib and make me look like shit on rails. Who the fuck cares? I'm learning so I can get better, not talking shit.
