got bored in my law lectures this week and drew a pair of skis on my new laptop - first time drawing on a screen so its a bit shit but i really like the concept - would obviously be going on a 120+ fatty like a 2012 hellbent. drop ur thoughts and a rating? - should i paint them irl?

Love the concept. Whats the translation of the japanese on the base? Only devils advocate is i dont think any bindings but black would look very good.

if you dont paint it, could you use the company that [tag=187775]@Rparr[/tag] used to make the osama pros to make you a wrap of these? Cant remember what its called.

the translation is literally just powder skiing. i think - i just used google translate so should propbably double check that before i do put them anywhere lol. that is such a good idea - i wanted to look into it as i might do a few more of these and just stick them on my old beaters but if i design then paint itll take like 40 hours per pair lol.

I would say that the harlaut look pivot would look great on these bc of the black and white with some red accents, other thought’s? I can’t think of another binding in particular

Love the idea, i really like the bottom with the red sun and the writing, i would give it a 8 but i think that the design would only look good on some particular skis like the 4frnt hoji or something like that.

im also pretty sure ON3P do custom top and bottom designs but would probably need a gofundme to do that lol

thank you so much! yeah to me it kinda feels like theres a bit too much going on with the topsheet i was also really pleased with how the bottom turned out - kinda picturing a clip hitting a fat cliff drop would look pretty cool from below
 
Not sure ON3P would do it, but never hurts to ask. I know Folsom and Praxis would both do it, but the reason i didnt mention it is because a custom topsheet with praxis is like $2k for the ski alone- which means you could buy some new pow skis, 10 extra wraps, and a cheap hooker for the same price

yeah i think better just to paint an old pair of beaters tbh but ill look into folsom

Really like the left graphics. For the right pair, I think it would be sicker to have them be predominantly black with some white and red

yeah theyre just the bases for the pair on the left - i might toy around with the colouration make it a bit darker maybe make it look like a burnt flag - its meant to resemble the japanese flag
 
would be cool if the left ski (or vice versa) was how you have it, mtn/tree and the other ski would be a sunrise with a temple or whatever.
 
6, but if you make it crisp and less fuzzy, it's an 8-9

It is a lot more detailed irl I just couldn’t attach the original image so had to screenshot it lol. But even so I don’t know how to get the painting app I got to increase the pixels per page so if I blow it up you can probably see the pixels anyway lol. Thanks!
 
-I see 5 different designs on one ski which is a no no for graphic design (i think?)

-The base graphic looks like a used maxi pad

-I like the Mt. Fuji cherry blossoms and the night city. Do a full graphic with one of those and it'd probably look NICE. You're obviously skilled enough with drawing to do it.

yeah i think general consesnus is too much is going on i will redesign with 1/2 images - in terms of graphic design i have no idea this is my first attempt lol. i hadnt looked at the japan flag on the bottom that way but i guess ahaha. thx for the advice!

Lol I live in Birmingham - go to uni here aswell so I’m stuck for a while - I’m just doing 3 b2b South American ski seasons due to school during the winter
