i got a copy of their newest album, and i was not at all impressed with it. is their older stuff better? i've heard it is.

I saw them at a radio sponsored show headlining, with Interpol, The Killers, and Franz. It was pretty good, they played a lot off of Lonesome Crowded West, like Out of Gas, Polar Opposites, and of course Cockroach. But it was weird because of the 8 times I've seen them over the years, it's always been at a cool venue like The Fillmore or Great American Music Hall in SF, but this was an all ages show at an auditorium and the crowd just wasn't into it like at a club type show. I mean obviously it was because they've only heard Float On and Ocean Breathes Salty (which they didn't play) but I hope they stop the all ages crap. Sorry kiddies.

 
^bam! i saw em at the key arena were the sonics play with the killers and franz so the kids only new like float on and ocean but when i saw em the first time at a smaller venue u were there to hear them so everyoneknew their stuff so the crowd was more fun

they are one of the shittiest most pussy bands I have ever heard in my life. They have not one good song, I have heard them all, my friend loves their music. I hate them, and anyone who listens to them, listen to some real musically talented people, not some ass goblins that stroke each other off.

I only like 2 songs from them World at Large and Float On. and only recordings their live performances are terrible.

but everybody is going to know them because they won best band of 2004 and they have become really mainstream wich made them loes alot of their old fans.

 
What the fuck are you talking about, they absolutely kill it live, maybe you've only gone to the teen-bopper radio sponsored shows, I've seen them 8 times over the last 6 years and the only show I was a little disappointed at, was a radio station sponsored show this past december.

I saw them live twice when they had a five night stand in Portland (their hometown). Both were incredibly amazing, and I also got to see Dramamine performed live for the first time in 3 years.
