Who likes metal concerts?

I just got the chance to see one of (in my opinion) the best metal bands ever yesterday. Metallica, with Lamb of God as well.
Freaking amazing show. Not everyone there looked like metal-heads, wondering if any NS'ers like to or have seen Metallica live.
They rounded off my must-see list of Maiden, Megadeth, and COB. Kinda silly thread, but I am STOKED that I have seen these bands play.
Anyone on here like metal, or is everyone more into electronic and hip-hop?
 
I'm in a metal/hardcore/"what the fuck people call it these days" and don't like Metallica! ZOMG! I know. But with that said, I do recognize their talent and also what they have done for music, I just personally don't like their music that much. And I love all sorts of music, and I mean everything, minus country.

metallica sucks now!!!! they were awesome back in the 80's but james voice sounds horrible now.

and lamb of god is ok, but there is WAY better metal out there...

as i lay dying, he is legend, destroy the runner, maylene & the sons of disaster, etc etc
 
Yeah. GM place.
And I know Metallica isn't even close to as good as they used to be (they didn't play One very well), but they can still kill it and just to see and hear legends in action was amazing.
 
I had a chance to see Metallica in Des Moines and Moline but missed both shows :(

But i am taking my girlfriend to go see Motley Crue febuary 11. So that should be a pretty sweet show.
 
Haha, I saw the Crue a few years ago, they put on a really good show for as old as they are. I can't decide if I liked the midgets, fire, or strippers dangling from the ceiling more.

But as far as metal shows go, I fucking love them. It's hard to find another type of show where people are as excited about the music and general scene, and that is one of the main reasons I go. The other would obviously be to see kick ass bands. The last concert I went to was Three, BTBAM, and then Opeth headlining. I drove six hours to see that one and would do it again in a heartbeat; Opeth is just all that is awesome.
