completly agree, comps should be judged on the style and grab rather than spin, but it looks like skiing is going in this direction, and theres not much we can do to change it
 
yeah dood i think he's right. think he got a little confused as to what he was tryin to say at the end but his point was good. spin-it-to-win-it is where we're going as shown at the open which sucks
 
Well, perhaps not completely style.

In my opinion, I'd say 50% technical, 50% style. Say, a tech judge and a style judge, and they each award something out of 50. Or perhaps 2 judges each
 
yeah, but in my opinion tech stuff shouldnt be how many spins you do, rather stuff like switch landings/takeoffs, crazy grabs, spinning unatural etc. tech doesnt have to be spinning...

no not really why can't simon win a comp cause he has no style he just hucks out 12s and thinks he should win. Tanner wins cause he grabs and spins both ways
 
of course that is in the pipe and yeah the US open slopestyle was crap which was spin to win, like pete getting crap for spinning 5s and such
 
yah like when jon did the extemely stylie falt 5 mike douglas was like "i dont think that that will be enough to win, these guys have to be spinning more" wich isnt really his fault because hes just gong by waht the judges are marking
 
spin to win it's pretty sad so many people don't know anything else we are the spin to win generation it's sad cause even though he was being sarcastic some it was true.
