Who knows how to set up reactors?

i need help, i want reactors but cant get them set up with out sending boots off. then if i get new boots i have to send the binding and boot off again

 
There are two tabs that swivel one on the toe piece and one on the heel piece. Push on the only side you can and they will swivle then you can move the toe peice or heel peice. You should see them if you cant figure it out pm and i will send you a picture of them.

Warning you can break them.

Reactors feel like nothing when you ski them. unless you have chicken legs you can handle them.

there's ALOT more to it then that...don't do it yourself because the chances of the forward and upward pressure being correct are slim to none and closer to none

^Exactly. If you set them up yourself the chances that they won't function properly and will eventually break are almost 100%. Why are you so hesitant to send them out? It's the summer, not like there's too much skiing to be had in NC at this time of year. Did you not forsee this problem would arise?

yo people have this problem to. someone that knows for sure should just take like 5 minutes and post it with all the details.

invaderman, you just don't get it dude...even if someone did post directions of what to do, it may not make sense and therefore, the bindings still wouldn't be properly adjusted.

I am very very experienced with the bindings.

That's why I'm always telling you fools that you can't do it yourself. Invaderman, Abscratch, just take the time to send them or take them to someone who can do it for you. I promise it will be worth it in the long run. This way we won't have to read another "my reactors broke" thread from one of you guys.

 
If you set them yourself, they aren't covered by warranty, so then you have a broken binding, and possibly broken body part. Make the wise choice, have them set by someone who's taken a test on how to set them.

And what, mount some Markers? What, do you want your bindings to rip out at all costs? Watch it happen.

Oddly enough, Markers seem to pull out of Volkls more than any other ski, so I'm sure you'll have lots of fun heli-coiling your shit back together on a monthly basis.

Pull strength is just one of the arguments that turn out to be in favour of inserts.

The worst part is that he would suggest everyone use markers... Luckily for him he got rid of those Karmas already, so the heelpiece pulling out won't be his problem to deal with.

^have you skied them yet. NO. yeah thats wat i thought. i broke a pair in 30 mins on some demo invaders. first it was the brake, i just took it off and kept skiing. and second it was the toepiece

It's easy to break them when they are demos. Demos are usually set up very hastily and sometimes the adjustment isnt quite right, esp. toe height.

It's no different than someone mounting them on his own, if you make a mistake when setting up a demo for someone there's a chance the binding will break.

One more thing about demoing the bindings. They work as a demo binding but the circumstances aren't ideal. Demo bindings have a much more intense life than a privately owned binding. A demo binding is adjusted over and over again day in and day out throughout its life. Reactors are bound to break when used as a demo binding, look at any other brand's demos and see how much more beefed up they are. Particularly in the boot sole adjustment hardware.

Saying that a reactor broke on you during a demo isn't a necessarily fair test for the binding although there is no denying that it looks very bad.
