black hand tried to kill him with grenades, but that failed, so Gavrillo princip went to get a sandwhich and the car with franz ferniand drove past out side and he shot him, really unlucky that he drove past...

Treaty of Versailles wasn't the reason they capitulated, The treaty was only drafted after the fact. Your right about it being a considerable contributing factor to WW2 though.

Massive Socio-economic/ internal conflict within Germany was the final deciding factor. That in addition to the lack of Forward momentum on the Western front. Germany's last hope was the massive influx of troops from the eastern front after Russia withdrew. Unfortunately for them right about that time The States joined the war and it was fairly balanced out.

Germany's economy was collapsing, Austria Hungary's was doing the same, and the Ottoman Empire was suffering massive losses in the desert.

True, perhaps I worded that wrong. The treaty was drafted after but it was very severe towards Germany and that was the point I was trying to make. It was not a negotiated settlement it was given to the Germans and they were told to sign it. Even how they arrived and were treated before the signing was very carefully done to show them that they were the losers and to humilate them. For example the slow train ride through the Belgium battlefields and the segregation of the German envoys in their own compound.
