for newschoolers it should be Glenn Plake, didn't he start the whole different than normal bomb through gates to get to the bottom the fastest skiing. I remeber seeing him in miller films when I was in high school huckin cliffs and skiing all kinds of crazy stuff and he had incredible style, he would hit a cliff or bust a move through some rocky shit like it was nothing.

I'm gonna have to say in freestyle skiing Mosley definatly is... he was the reason i started to ski this way... He made it more public.

As for the most important person in skiing, we'll never know will we? A case could be made for Cusson and his crew, the filmers, McConkey and his posse, snowboarding, skating, and surfing, as well as the shadowy figures that bankroll/finance Armada's operations...

Iberg because...

1.two of the best movies

2.the major kick in the ass the industry got from Armada...Armada would not exist if wasnt for Iberg.

3.His influence on events/judging.

4.The exposure he has created for the athletes.

5.His realistic and passionate view of the industry. I live in both the ski and snowboard industry and I can tell you from 15 years of experience Iberg is one of a very few people that honestly cares about whats best for the sport and works everyday to make it better and make sure it is portrayed in the right light to the public.

Anyone out there that thinks Iberg is just a filmer has no idea how deep his influence runs and on how many levels. Filming is the only visible aspect that the public sees.

I would say to the industry as far as advertising goes Tanner Hall. Oakley could throw him in a pink thong with a little 0 on it, and u would see little 10 year old kids wearing it a few weeks later. But other then that, its definitely a toss up, there are some many contributers to the sport, its tough to say who the most important one is, they all are important

Yo, snowboarders are most important! They influence our style and basically helped create and innovate our sport...The first twintip skis were a snowboard cut in half! If it weren't for them we wouldn't be freeriding....let alone know what steeze is.....and try to ski with it....They gave us our sport and our steeze...haha peace
