Who is the best skier in the world?

So, first off, dont say searchbar, i have done that and its not exactly what we need.

So, whos the best skiier in the world right now?

I have kind of wittled it down two just two skiers, Candide and Tanner, purely because they shread everywhere, but i could be wrong. What i want to know is what are you views? Who really is the best skier in the world right now?

Take into account all these things-Park,Backcountry,pipe, promoting the sport,events,media(Mags,Movies),Sponsers,Fan Interaction and overall contribution to the sport of Skiing.

Get to it NS, post your thoughts!
 
I would definitely have to agree with you on those two. Between the progression that they both provide to the sport as well as the events that Candide puts on... they are definitely in the Top.

If you look at their skills in the backcountry, moguls, park and pipe, I'd say they definitely cover it all pretty damn well.

i would agree with those two but i would have to say Jon... hes just an unbeilivable skier i mean he may not be as good at rails as tod walnuts but hes fucking good. and you add that he is a superstar in sweeden i would have to say him. but i could easily see how people would argue for tanner or candide
 
Impossible to determine, its pure opinion. Right now, I'd say tanner is slaying all regions of skiing pretty hard, but yet its just opinion. These kind of threads seem to just butt fuck the whole idea and just shit everywhere.
 
nobody on here is ever going to reach a final decision because everyone sees each skier in a different way. for me though, it would have to be Tanner, just because he can dominate every aspect of freeskiing and still be very humble about it.
 
seth kills everything. you cant even argue against that...

jon is crazy too. racing, park, etc.. also big mtn.

tanner. ahhviously

and also daronrahlves is just crazy. ive seen him hit boxes, rails, and jumps believe it of not. also he is one of, if not the best supercross skier out there. and racing. duh.
 
sage and abma have got to be up there. they slay park and BC, and sage has the smoothest style known to man. Durtschi is nasty all around, and so is wiley miller. tanner dominates for sure, as does candide, but i think these skiiers deserve some props as well
 
I agree with Tanner or Candide. But Jon took big air to the next level. Has won gold in superpipe big air and very good at slope. Plus he can ski big mountain. And he's started racing again. All that's missing is more big mountain and moguls which I'm sure he can do.
