Got the Toyota 4runner with a portable heater. Hopefully I will be sober enough to remember to crack the windows every night. I am bummin this winter. I know there are a few non-trust fundee's on newschoolers who are doing it this winter. I am living in hood. Any tips? I have a few.

The worst part of all is wetness of clothes. I try and go after the day to a fast food place in my gear, spend a dollar, read, and let my shit dry out. You have no idea how bad putting on frosted gear is haha.

If you're in Oregon get on food stamps. Stay your parents kicked you out (If you are under 22 this will for sure work)

A 0 degree sleeping bad should do you fine. If it gets crazy cold just find a homie's floor to sleep on for the night.

Do a bunch of stretching. Perfect way to feel good for the next day and fight boredom.

Always always always. have a labeled designated bottle, that has a weird texture on it so you can piss in it every night instead of always fumbling around or drinking your piss the next morning accidently lol.
 
I bummed around VT in an RV for a month last january. Of course there were so many more creature comforts than a car but holy shit did that place get utterly filthy on many different levels. Just do the best you can to stay clean and keep your environment clean. I was with four other lazy people so this will probably be alot easier for you if ur bummin solo.
 
Yeah that's kind of a shitty move, not to mention increasing levels of illegal depending on what you tell them to get the stamps.

Living outta your car during the winter is fun for a while, then gets really blah. Skiing is worth it tho usually.

not a bad call, world would be a better place without these little scumbags taking advantage of a system ( that i know has a ton of flaws ) that is designed to help people who truly need food for their families due to there circumtances. i know alot of people take advantage of it, and its sad, and there are some shit ass parents out there for sure ( drug addicts etc. ) ... but no matter what the parents did, its not the kids fault, and they need to eat. and people like mister OP here make me fucking sick when i think of kids been forced to go to bed hungry. not everyone in life is dealt a perfect hand of cards in life, and can run around the country worry free taking advantage of things they have no right to dabble in. unless of course OP has a family he is planning on living with in his car . and i fucking doubt it. like i said karma is a bitch. / rant

i'll be livin in and out of my van this season. but i'm also going to have a job/ be living with my girlfriend so probably not collecting the stampage. course thats easier to do in slc where the town and the mountains are a stones throw. unlike hood and portland.

ive been on the stamps for 3 years now, with and without money and jobs, and on unemployment. youre the idiots for not capitalizing on 200 bones of free grub a month. chumps.
 
Food stamps are for people who don't have the money to buy food, and don't have the means to get that money. You are suggesting using them for the sake of selfishness. I'm not noble, I'm just not a deadweight, and I'm going to continue to work hard for my living so that when I ski, I am the one earning it.

Sandy, he's not taking advantage of the man, he's taking advantage of a system that costs everyone making an honest living money.

I'm fine helping out people who need it. OP doesn't need it, he just feels an illegitimate entitlement.
 
Food stamps are for people who are so abismal at life, that they are unable to provide themselves with one of life's primary needs (second only to oxygen). There are people with Down's syndrome who are more capable than those on food stamps. So while we are at it, if you are on food stamps, please consider a heavy diet. I'd rather the government not spend MY money feeding your worthless ass. Food stamps are not free, the non oxygen thieves pay for them.

I personally wouldn't get food stamps, but everyone here is judging someone they don't even know. The government assistance programs are fatally flawed. We as NSers have no control in its regulation. Since ODB took a limo to get his food stamps, should I hate on WU-TANG? At least OP isn't buying scratch tickets with them.

Why does society owe the OP food stamps? And actually he does owe us something, like the food he is planning on eating. Tax payer's pay for it.
 
I lived in my car for a few weeks last winter and was on food stamps. BUT I WAS ALSO WORKING. But i didnt make shit. I got on foodstamps because i actually needed them. Mount Baker doesnt pay their employees SHIT. I was a "full time" employee, which to Mount Baker, means 15-20 hours a week.
