who is this kye of which you all speak off, and is he really the furture of skiing such as White is for snowboarding?

 
Kye is the son of Trevor Peterson, the man with the most First track on most of the higer summit in western north america. This kid is evolving with all the whistler shitz, he spends his summers on the glaciers..he is almost as good as White is in snowboard...

i think theres a lot better people for the future then kye i think kye is just recognized because his father and was lucky enough to have the oppurtunity to be going as he is now but there is a ton beter and younger people out there.

 
New Rule: Don't talk about someones skiing, how good or bad it is, unless you have physically skied with them.

I think this rule would be great and works extremely well in this situation. I know from experience, from skiing at the horstman glacier almost every summer for the past 8 years that Kye is the best little kid I have ever seen. He is better than Tanner was at his age as well as all the other top dogs. He is better than Shaun White was at his age. I have not, to date, seen any other kid who can contest Kye's ability. There is this lil 10 year old in vermont who rocks. I think his last name is Adams. He is good, Not as good as Kye but this lil kid is on his way up too.

I wish these Kye threads would die already. Kye rips, that's all there is too it. I wouldn't go as far as saying he's the best young ripper out there as there are many unknowns in the world, but Kye is definitely one of the foremost for his age.

As for who the Sean White of skiing will be, I predict it will be Sean Petit. The kid is barely as high as my waist (he's 10 or 11) and he's throwing 900s and cork 9s over the biggest table in the Blackcomb park already. He has style, he has balls, he rips everyday, and he will utterly annihilate any kid his age. Kye and Austin have some moves on him now, but when Sean gets a little bigger, he will rule.

In conclusion, Kye rips and you guys really shouldn't care so much about it anyways. The end.

yah im not gonna argue about kyes skills at all, but its kinda hard to exlclude all the other talented kids out there, by saying that THOSE to are the kids to look for cause i know alot of other kids that throw down sooo good that dont get reconized...

Kye doesn't even feel like he needs to live up to other people's expectations, I like him so much because he just genuinely likes to SKI. No glam, it's just a nice benefit, he likes to ski. All you hosers needlessly prolonging this thread should chill. Some kids probably are better then Kye and when they mature, they're time will come too. Don't stress about it know. You should know that the ski industry is oriented to marketability just as much as talent. Kye has both and that's why he has the hook up.

dude, i know a kid that wins like all the local comps and he's only 14...progresses sooo much, we were skiin at hood and he was throwin corked 5's the second day in the pipe. yah, it's crazy. i told him to throw a switch cork 9 at a big air the other day and he freakin did it. cool kid too. the kid in vermont that someone mentioned is Duncan Adams and he's only 10. he took best trick in half pipe at vermont open against pros like dave crichton, andy woods, peter olenick, liam downey, and tons more. he just learnt cork 7s in the pipe!! it's such an inspiration to ski with someone that talented.

i know some kids at our crappy resort on the east coast, they can cork 10, but there isnt any fricken whistler channel for everyone to see them on, if they were in whistler im sure they would be out there everyday and there would be 'how good are giray and ahmet' threads

im not saying that those kids on the west coast are bad, there amazing, but theres some other kids that should get that much regonition but never will until they move on to bigger and better resorts

I dont see why people really care...its gay its like this with sports and everyone starts to freak out and say this kid is gay and stuff when u have never met or skied with him......I bet Kye is really good and my hat goes off for the 10 year olds lets just make the sport fun and not so competitive...I play enough competitive sports and skis really my only way out.

I totally agree.

But for many, skiing is competitive. But not THIS kind of competitive. It's the kind where you are riding, either a comp or not, and eveyrone is pushing themselves and each other. The kind of competitive is not when we sit in front of a monitor and bitch each other out about style and what not.

i was riding with some little kid at okemo two weeks ago. i never got his name but he is sick. he threw down switch 7s, and cork 5's. did a backflip too. he told me his dad was on the US ski team and he was sponsered by some wax company. hes prob nobody big but would anybody happen to know who this kid is?

I HATE that kid so much. I hate that picture of him in Freeze where he is in the weight room, he looks so stupid and fruity. And the picture of him above the weight room pictue he is doing a rail, he is like alomst touching it with his hand and it is holding a high preformance racing leki pole, and the rail is not even 6 inches out of the ground. He is so dumb.
