Who Is Jonny Scott?

not really still want impressed. jibbers are a dime a dozen... come to northstar @ tahoe and you'll see kids doing an intense amount of swups/pretzels/ and spins on and off rails but cant jump to save their life, like half of the finalists shown on the level1 site. im telling you a DIME A DOZEN. i think in order to be considered a finalist you'd have to have the complete park package i.e. excellent jumping skills (no hucked tricks, holding grabs, ect) rail skils (which most of these guys have) and pipe skills (which i didnt really see many if any pipe shots at all.
 
yea i agree theres alot of good jibbers but every single one of the finalists is sick at jibbing and jumping

martin Soderberg... not very impressive jumping i think its only cork 5's?

Curtis buldoc... hucked sw misty 7, hucked sw 9, arms flailing EVERYWHERE. very good at rails.

David Lesh...good at rails not impressive again with jumping. if yours gonna be a "superunknown finalist i wanna see more than 3's and sw 5's

David Beaulieu ... good urban, spun like a mofo on the sw 10... cool doing both regular 9's but doesnt show much depth.

curt throws down on every jump and can do sick grabs, its just almost everything over a 5 will look hucked because sundayriver rarely builds big jumps

and db throws down sick grabs in his 10s, just because its spun fast doesnt mean its hucked, he had sick style on all his jumps

lesh also had really styly spins
 
yeah they might all throw that but there vids were deffinately lacking in this talent everyone speaks of, in no way am i saying they suck, i'm just saying the representation of they shots they're showing dont speak all that well for the talent they probably truely possess

no where did i say that DB's jumps were hucked but he didnt show any depth of his bag of tricks, and yes lesh's spins were smooth but would like to see more than a sw 5 or a 3 out of a "superunknown" and as for sunday river not building any big jumps.. thats poop. sunday river always has good jumps, you just gotta know how to jump.if you watch he barely clears the knuckle, long landings are there so you can do big tricks and have enough landing to do them CLEANLY. im sorry im not a big fan of arms waivering everywhere. spins should be smooth and clean.
 
also as for saying anything over 5 will looked hucked.. ive seen nicer 7's off a 15fter at mt rose for a slopestyle, than anything i saw that kid do.
 
for a virtual unknown...its hard to get on a plane and fly out west just to get noticed. if people from the midwest and lower east, etc., could do that i think we'd see more of them. its so hard to get noticed here. not that it isn't anywhere else...this is no complaint post. just statin
 
i hear ya dude, but still...i know that some cant get out west, regardless, the videos of those that couldnt were far from acceptable in my opinion, i know its been a rough year, and i know most the kids can throw down, i just have not been impressed with anyone elses talent besides J. scotts DB and Wallishes. The rest of the kids atleast from there videos look like they huck tricks and dont have a developed style(besides cosco, but he's already known)

Old Jonny Scrizzle was cool until he got a girlfriend. Now he just spends all his time fuckin' and giving his girl cute little pop kisses in front of me and I puke in my mouth a little bit. Who even likes cootie ridden bitches anyway? Then, he goes and shotguns beers and leaves them all over our kitchen for me to clean up. Fucking amateur. I'm pretty sure the next time he comes home I'm gonna karate chop his head clean off.
 
I really liked his superunknown vid, sick, super stylie skiing for sure.

On another note, you guys have to be retarded to hate on all the other vids for not having BC footage. Obviously noone else had that opportunity..which is what superunkown is supposed to provide.
 
Jonny is a true gangsta and kills it all.....I feel privelaged to ski with him...and kick him in the shins when he yells. He yells a lot!
 
scriz is sick, that clip is from his seg in "Screenplay" and was a contender for a break through pow award this season; with his first seg ever. a great individual to work with, humble and tons of energy. the kid knows and has the ability to get it done, as he has again this season. stay up for more updates from this kid! -ct

Hey hey, easy on Scriz. His girl isnt destroying him at all. I skied with him just the other day and he is still killin it! Not only is he killing it but he's doing it on his new hella bents!
