Who is going to Ohio Dreams this summer?

I'm super stoked to be fortunate enough to be working at the camp again this summer, and I was just wondering how many of you are planning on attending. I can't wait, gonna be such a fun summer!
 
This opinion has NO bias at all...

Comedy aside, you look like you run a fun camp. If I had money to blow, I would definitely consider it.
 
Got a question here. This season was my first season starting to try park, by now i can straight air jumps and slide most rails. Since I'm not doing much this summer I am thinking about a ski camp, but I'm worried it may be a little premature because of my skill right now. So what do you guys think? Should I wait till next summer, Junior-Senior year of high school, go this summer, or am I just not developed enough for my age to make it worth going to a camp?
 
As long as you're a solid skier, you're fine, and you only need to be good enough to ski down and hit the water ramp jump. I'm one of the coaches at Dreams, and we see kids there of all different skill levels, ages and abilities. EVERYONE has improved by the time they have left camp. If you're not that comfortable in the air just yet, then that is all the more reason to come to camp. We try to push everyone to get better and learn new tricks, but we're not going to push you into anything that you're not ready for. I GUARANTEE you will feel a lot more comfortable and be more skillful in the air if you come out for a week.
 
So stoked for this summer!!! Got to train all summer long last year. Nothing has helped my skiing as much as Ohio Dreams. I feel you progress so much more here then at any other "on snow camp." One of the best things about Ohio Dreams is they want to see kids progress. I helped coach a little bit last summer, and every kid who came to camp, went home with new tricks! Hope to see everyone this summer. It's gonna be twice as good as years past!!!!
 
Ohio Dreams is the best place to be in the summer. Its like no other. Good vibes all around. Friendly staff. I am soooo excited to be at Ohio Dreams this summer again. I will be there for the first few sessions ! If you're thinking of going, sign up !!!
 
sorry guys, really wanted to get there/maybe do some kind of junior counseling thing, but one torn ACL and blown-apart meniscus later and I won't be doing much this summer.
 
You should come down for our Action Sports and Music Fest the last weekend of August once camp is over. It's an 18+ anything goes, 2 day shindig where you can ski, skate and bike all day then party and camp all night. It's always a good time and it's a fun and affordable way to be able use our facilities if you're over 18.

how much is it? Is airfair included, hotel? food?

How well are the coaches trained?

Ohio Dreams is a premier action sports camp located in Central Ohio. We feature all different action sports including BMX racing, BMX freestyle, skateboarding, scootering (believe it or not), snowboarding, and of course freeskiing.

Our facilities include a full size National caliber BMX race track, a one-of-a-kind BMX race training center, BMX dirt trails with over 12 different lines from beginner to pro, an outdoor covered BMX pump track, a massive indoor skatepark featuring street and vert sections with features for beginners and pros alike including a huge foampit with 2 different roll ins, a concrete outdoor park with a huge variety of street features including single and double stair sets, banks, wedges, hips, hand rails, hubbas, minis and more, 2 in ground olympic caliber string bad trampolines including a harness rig, water ramps of two different sizes specifically made to more closely resemble park takeoffs in order to better teach park skiing (they are plenty big enough for dubs), a summer setup with rail and box setup on an artificial snow surface for your summer jibbing needs, two massive one-of-a-kind slip n' flys that shoot you into orbit and then into our massive 360,000 gallon pool, and a pro shop and lounge for any snacks or merchandise you may need.

Holy massive run on sentence, that's a lot of stuff when you type it all out!

Because of the diversity of our facilities and all of the different sports we feature, campers are encouraged to bring their gear if they participate in other sports so that if say they are a skier, they can bike, skate or scoot in their free time.

The price of camp is $850 for one, week long session (Sunday afternoon to Saturday morning). That price includes everything other than airfare and any purchases of snacks or merchandise you choose to make while at camp. 3 meals a day, accommodations, coaching, and full access to all camp facilities is included in the price.

The coaches are some of the best in the business. While you may not have heard of their names or seen them in the latest PBP or Level 1 flick, they KNOW how to COACH. Don't get us wrong, we love the pros and all the big names that coach at the other camps, and they are all great guys. However, just because you are a great skier, does not necessarily mean you are a great coach, so don't let the lack of big names deter you. Our ski coaches are responsible for coaching the likes of Nick Goepper, Chris Laker, Jackie Kling and Freddy Brideweser among others.

One of our biggest mantras of Ohio Dreams, is that once you come here you are a part of a family. We keep our sessions smaller than other camps with no more than 100 campers per week, with typically lower numbers (that number is spread out over all of the sports). We generally maintain a camper to staff ratio of 5 to 1, so this means you get to know your coaches and counselors personally and you won't ever feel like you're being lost in the herd and aren't getting the proper attention or coaching. Every kid who left camp last year had a great time throughout the week and left a better skier than when they got there. Most most campers left with multiple new tricks under their belt. are the 2 days in august the only public days? i've been twice and loved it both times, but i'll probably only get 1 week back in PA all summer
 
I don't have funds, no way i will be able to make it out this summer.

My only question is, how hard is the water ramps on your ski boots, i just spent 400 on some ace of spades, and i feel like the water is probably not very good for them.

Your boots should be ok, the shells/buckles will be totally fine, it's the liner you need to worry about. As long as you leave custom insoles in them, you are careful with taking your boots on and off at the pool and you dry them out well, you shouldn't have any issue. That being said, I too would be a little hesitant to use my brand new boots in a pool for a week. If/when you do hit some water ramps, try to find a cheap, used pair of boots for $40 or $50 on NS or at you local ski swap/summer sale.
 
That is correct sir. Our open session for the water ramps is for those 18 and over and is held on Saturday and Sunday of the last weekend in August.
 
I have been hearing of some very crazy rumors! The place is the only place to go to really progress your skiing. Hope to see everyone this summer!
