make sure you sign up for some english classes too, cause that was one of the worst sentences ive ever heard. youd best be from a different country (then its ok).

It was the Elan SCX.

Otto Wiest took the first design for a parabolic ski to Head in Austria at least 5 years before Elan came out with the SCX. They couldn't understand and were reluctant to try a new ski design. I don't know how this can be documented, but I know it happened.

Otto was one of the first ski instructors in Vail when it originally opened. He is a genius. Otto would crack up that he is getting props on NS.

The scx (sidecut extreme) was designed by Jurij Franko, and Pavel Skofic and the final design was first put into a world cup GS ski in '91.

along with afterbang, nollies, taps, and presses.

P.S: Shaun white invented the double flip. its a fact. the olympics says so.

parabolic sidecut is different than regular sidecut. I do believe that snowboards had sidecut first, but parabolic arc edge profiles first appeared on Elans.

I have a pair somewhere, and have skied them. they are pretty sick little skis

there's a ski shop near my mountain witht a sign outside that reads... "WE SELL SHAPED SKIS!!!"

no this has nothing to do with op
