I have an STP, and it's awesome. but there isnt many good places around my area to ride. who else rides?
 
i do. mostly dj and some urban. im actually going to ride in 10 minutes for the first time this year.
 
yeah i like urban, and dh + dj, but today is a good day for a ride, i actually might go, cause its almost 50 here, and all the snow melted off the streets
 
I do I do. I work as a bike instructor in the summer. I live on the North Shore so theres lots of trails but im usually too lazy so I just go to the djs or skatepark.
 
i do it all, freeride, dh, dj, skatepark (we dont have dirt jumps where ime from so ive only done a litte)on an stp. i dont like that bike.
 
i got a bike and quickly learned that dj/urban isn't as easy as it looks, so now i've moved on to xcish and i love it.
 
north shore ONLY.. haaa haa.. and if your from portland.. ZOO BOMBS!!!! street is kinda whack... cool if your bmxican
 
take the max up to the zoo and take the crazy as fuck jump / north shore / street park setup EVER>>>. i mean thers a fuckin 25 foot road gap.... its huge. and you can lap it all day for 1.45 thats the price for the max... and if you long board .OMG the streets for the surfing are Gnar Bhar.. but there is some nasty downhill sectonts for sure.. you just got to pack your dick and balls. but watch out there are "zoo bombers" and they fuckin try to claim there turff but fuck them...
 
i do..but unlike most people here i just ride xc/singletrack

and i just got a commencal meta 5.40..anyone ride one? i havent gotten to ride mine yet, and i havent heard much about them
 
yes zoo bombing is so much fun, i do it all the time in the summer. lap that all day long, its awesome

there was another thing in the Oregonian about wierd portland people that dress up in costumes and bike down broadway but thats not he real soo bombing

ski bowl is also a lot of fun too in the summer but when you add up gas, lift ticket, and al that it gets kinda spendy
 
i have an stp a kona shred and a diamondback strike lol and i do dj,urban,dh and freeride

i just rode today and got pwned by a bigass stepup i came up short and now my neck hurts like hell
 
^ well i feel left out.

we dont have groups of bikers. we have me ted and josh. the 3 kids who bike in all of saratoga.
 
I race XC. Was into downhill but couldn't afford the bike at the time. So I just rode XC and fell in love and then could afford either a downhill or XC bike and got XC.
 
I usually get about 500-600 miles on the dirt every summer if my schedule permits. I ride a Heckler with a 36 VAN RC2 and DHX coil, it's a nice trailbike and works well for what I do.
 
But its not that great to do by youself but if you get about 5 guys together and draft and pretend your in the tour( yes i know it sounds lame) its super fun.
 
i got a stinky and a p2. i bike every weekend and some on the weekends. mostly d-hill but have been getting into dj. it is a lot harder than it looks.
 
the zombie looking ones. the only naked people i see regularly around portland are by my house at Reed College. if anyone knows anything about this school then you know that nearly all the girls there are gross
 
 
got it for cost cause i work at a bike shop, its only 5.7 pounds and feels like warm butter being spread on a fresh pancake
 
I usually do a mix of downhill/dj/urban, but last summer i tried out some roadbiking. If anyones heard of the Trek Across Maine, you should do it. 185 miles in three days is an insane workout, and i hadnt rode a roadbike prior to it.
 
if only the mods on pinkbike were as chill as here it would be a decent site... i mean come on i just cant post much quality that is solidly focused on biking and has never ever been brought up before. not that i dont like it i check the pods and forums occasionally... but i really wish ns had a big biking base like even a summer branch of the site that could compete with pinkbike as far as info goes
 
i completely agree, there all a bunch of tight asses on there too, like if you say anything negative or swear you get kicked off. how lame is that
