Who has gone on a euro trip before? Need advice!

Don't know if you saw it but I made a thread about moving to Denmark in the near future and I plan on doing so.

I'm incredibly skeptical. I think you missed the part of after all fees/taxes/everything. I mean I can look on Thomas Cook right now and see Toronto - London for $160 (+$739 taxes and fees)

I flew montreal-london my first trip and montreal-brussels the second trip.

and although whoever said France is a cheap place to fly into- its also the most expensive to stay in. Paris.. forget about it if you want a cheap trip.

Unless I'm missing something?:

I think it really depends on timing, but when I went this year it was cheap to fly into either Gatwick Airport in London or to Barcelona.

Also, if you can get to Hopfgarten in Austria I would highly recommend it. I went paragliding in the mountains and mountain biking on some unreal trails. Oh and apparently there's incredible skiing when there's snow...

What I've done: bought a 15+ year old Renault Espace V6 for 600 quid.

Drove all the way through euroland, broke down in Ukraine, got it fixed up for 400 quid with a revised engine and new interior.

Drove home, sold for 3000 eurocoins.

Considering everything I think I even made a profit on that trip.

£810 is equal to almost $1300 Canadian. I think that's where the confusion stems from.

still a good deal though actually.

also that says nothing about taxes and other fees. price FROM 810. so no doubt it'd end up being much higher.

I stand by my statement that $667 CDN for a round trip trans-Atlantic flight can't really be beat.

When I visited this summer I went all over Europe. Personally I hated Italy it was the worse place that I went to on that trip. My favorites were, London, Switzerland, and Austria. I thought Belgium was all right nothing outstanding that's for sure.
