Who has an E-Cig?

i haz an ecig and i have never smoked a cig before in my life. mainly just use it for the head buzz. but i think im starting to get addicted to the ecig...i craveeeeeeeee it.

oh and cudder is a bitch.

Weird that you posted this.I just got a cheap one about a week ago.so far i LOVE it .you can smoke whenever you want, wherever you want. Im picking up some new e liquid now and am ordering redbull, pepsi, and menthol flavor. If you want some help deciding which one to get goto ecigforum.com or sumthing like that.If you wanna quit smoking they are great.I dont feel i need to smoke an analogue after smoking the e cig.Otherwise though you can get non- nicotine filled cartridges and just play with the smoke

i haz a joye ego ecig or whatever its called. and i highly disagree about the smoke where ever when ever. people in the lodge hate us smoking them and always bitch but they dont understand that its meant to be smoked indoors. but yeah these things are fucking legit i could never do smoke tricks but now i can do things like french inhale, ghost and of course the traditional o.

yaaaa i definitly recommend them. The vapor doesnt stick around too long though like weed or cigs so o's usually fade away pretty quick..Im actually smoking mine right meow

quitting smoking cigs is harder than most people thing i mean when i got my ecig i stopped for a while and then started back up again and then stopped and i only have an occasional one but its proven that their better for you but they don't increase your addiction.. before i couldn't go a day with out smoking because it would just feel like shit and get a horrible fucking headache and when i got my ecig i needed it for a while but now if i wanted to get rid of it i could sell it and be fine with out it. also if you don't smoke you will get addicted to it because your not already addicted to nicotine so its pretty stupid to buy one if you don't smoke unless you get the drops with no nicotine

I didn't read the whole thread, but I just thought that I'd say that the craving for cigarettes gets worse as time goes on. Two months after quitting is worse than one month after quitting which is worse than three days after quitting. For some people, the fact that they quit for three days might be an emotional triumph for them which will help make the rest easier, but physically the craving gets worse as time goes on.

They taste bad. I'd rather chew gum. Then eventually you lose it and that's 40 dollars down the drain. ONe time I was smoking blunts in a hotel room at 5 in the morning on new years though, and we got caught and only didn't get kicked out because someone convinced them the smell was his e-cig. lolol

i know this is old and not sure if your still lookin but a joye ego is your best bet....get a drip tip also from americaneliquidstore.com

I've heard quitting smoking cigarrettes is the second hardest substance to quit behind heroine. now i've never done heroine, but quitting smoking is a bitch! I have quit about 5 times and finally i'm 3 weeks in and its still bothering me, then again i do have an addictive personality.

this if spice is the chemical formula of weed, and they spray it onto leaves so u smoke it then they sould just put it in liquid form into a e-cig

basically this. i'm seventeen and have smoked consistently since i was about twelve and quit cold turkey about a month ago. my father smoked a pack or more a day for almost twenty years and quit cold turkey. two of my friends have been smoking just as long as i have and both quit cold turkey. it's about will power. don't be a pussy and you'll be able to quit smoking.

nah, you don't get it, for the past three years i might smoke 2 cigs a week and only when I'm drunk. It's just like how you're not going to get addicted to smoking cigars by having one a week. I keep it at a point where I'll literally never buy a pack because I wouldnt smoke that many cigs in 6 months

if anything i would say i feel attached to weed, but thats because i actually care about it enough to buy it, when i party someone always is offering cigs.

ugh. quitting cigarettes was a cake walk compared to quitting chew/dip. i quit cigarettes 3 years ago, but have since picked up dipping. i quit cold turkey cigarettes, but i tried quitting dip 3 weeks ago and just couldnt do it, do get involved with nicotine anyway at all, its terrible and is the worst addiction you can muster. it kills you and you cant believe how dependant you become on it. e-cigs is just the start, and dont start, because this shit is a bitch

This.

I started when I was smoking when I was 14. Smoked heavily until I was 21. I'd tried all the tricks. I tried cutting back, chewing gum, lighter smokes, everything.

THe only thing that let me get through the cravings, was my own urge to quit. You have to stop yourself from smoking. Nothing will help you help yourself.

wise man is wise.

I just love this picture, but you're 100% correct

kinda interesting about cold turkey

The state addicts are in when withdrawing from drug addiction. Also, predominantly in the U.S.A., plain speaking.

Origin

Of course, the term 'cold turkey' in the literal 'cold meat' sense appears many times in recipes - 'cold turkey salad' etc. Neither of the meanings above appear to have any allusory link back to that.

The most common use of the term is now in relation to drug withdrawal. The earliest reference I can find to that is from the Canadian newspaper The Daily Colonist, October 1921:

"Perhaps the most pitiful figures who have appeared before Dr. Carleton Simon..are those who voluntarily surrender themselves. When they go before him, they [drug addicts] are given what is called the 'cold turkey' treatment."

The 1936 edition of American Speech gave a definition of the term:

"Cold turkey, treatment of addicts in institutions where they are taken off drugs suddenly without the 'tapering off' which the addict always desires."

The 'plain talking/getting down to business' meaning of the term is largely limited to the U.S.A. The English newspaper The Daily Express explained that for an English audience in a January 1928 edition:

"She talked cold turkey about sex. 'Cold turkey' means plain truth in America."

There are many uses of the term in U.S. citations from the early 20th century. For example, this from The Oakland Tribune, August 1915:

"This letter talks cold turkey. It gets down to brass."

In the state of drug withdrawal the addict's blood is directed to the internal organs, leaving the skin white and with goose bumps. It has been suggested that this is what is alluded to by 'cold turkey'. That seems doubtful. It is much more likely that the allusion is to the direct, no nonsense approach indicated by the earlier 'plain speaking' meaning of the term.

"without preparation," 1910; narrower sense of "withdrawal from an addictive substance" (originally heroin) first recorded 1921. Cold turkey is a food that requires little preparation, so "to quit like cold turkey" is to do so suddenly and without preparation.

Idioms: cold turkey

Immediate, complete withdrawal from something, especially an addictive substance; also, without planning or preparation. For example, My bad shoulder forced me to quit playing tennis cold turkey, or I'd never done any rock climbing, but decided to try it cold turkey. This term may have come from the earlier expression talk turkey (for blunt speaking). At first used strictly for abrupt withdrawal from drugs or alcohol, it soon was transferred to quitting any habit or activity. [Early 1900s]

Word Origin: cold turkey

Origin: 1922

By 1922, cold turkey was not always a leftover from Thanksgiving dinner. For an addict, it was quite the opposite. "This method of sudden withdrawall," explained a writer that year, "is described in the jargon of the jail as 'the cold turkey' treatment," It meant "to immediately and completely give up a substance, such as narcotics or alcohol, to which one was addicted."

The shock to the system was such that few addicts voluntarily chose it. "Mention of the 'cold turkey treatment' gives a chill of horror to a drug addict," said Newsweek in 1933. "It means being thrown in jail with his drug supply completely cut off." And Mickey Spillane wrote in I, the Jury (1947), "I doubt if you can comprehend what it means to one addicted to narcotics to go 'cold turkey' as they call it."

This use of cold turkey is an outgrowth of a previous sense, attested as early as 1910, meaning "extreme plainness and directness," going back to talk turkey, attested in 1830. Carl Sandburg used the term this way in a 1922 letter: "I'm going to talk cold turkey with the booksellers about the hot gravy in the stories."

Nowadays going cold turkey is not restricted to narcotics and alcohol addiction. We speak of it as an extreme means of quitting any attachment or habit that we find hazardous to our health: cigarettes, chocolate, a television show, sex--perhaps even a sports team.

Wikipedia: cold turkey

"The etymology derives from the phrase talk turkey, in which someone deals matter-of-factly with a subject[1]. Some, however, believe the derivation is from the comparison of a cold turkey carcass and the state of a withdrawing addict — most notably, the cold sweats and goose bumps. It is often preceded by the verb "to go," as in "going cold turkey."

a couple of my friends have them. There pretty straight, I thought about getting one to try to quit. I've cut back to only smoking on the weekends tho, and I'm scared if I get one I'll start using it daily.

The best part is you can smoke it in bars or even in class.

yeah i have the joye ego t 1000. it's pretty sick. if you are going to get one definitely get the tank system, so easy to fill up. i got one without any prior addiction to nicotine which probably wasn't smart... but for now it's pretty sick.

also if you're trying to quit, definitely get the juice with the low nicotine content. the high or even medium juices will make you wayyy more addicted

My friends makes cannabis cartridges for them. They're really nice if you want to be sneaky about things and the nicotine is a nice head buzz if you only use it every so often. A really easy way to get a high off one is mix some keef into a nicotine free cartridge. I would recommend them. You can get ones for like 20 bucks but I would always buy one of the hundred dollar ones and the vapor is a lot thicker.

I feel like itd be sick to get one with no nicotine or anything, just straight up vapor. Itd be cool to play with the smoke

well this turned into a shitshow pretty fast..........

but i like e-cigs. they are mostly fun to play with, and you get the nicotine which is nice. i would say go for it. it'll save you money in the long run and it can help you quit. but i just like blowing O's in the back of class. thats just my piece.

i knowww. im thinking of getting an E9 from ecig.com

im just worried that the UPS package it comes in is going to say ecig or somthing on it and i will get in trouble

true. but i just want it for fun. and in my school, i could sell it to some freshman for 2x as much as i paid if i get bored

just ordered mine!

i got it customized with a black battery, stainless cartomizer, clear cap and blue light.

i also got 4 cartos and 60ml or cherry e liquid with no nicotine

If you're 13/14 then, that's what you think now. If you're considerably older than that, then props to you. Jealous of your decision making during highschool/collage.

im almost 19 and ive never smoked one, but in high school none of my friends did so i wasnt even really exposed to them till college anyways

Yeah for a vast majority of people I think it really depends on who you hang around with in high school. All my friends smoke/smoked since 8th grade/freshman year, so quitting has been somewhat of a battle.
