Who else thinks Kent Krietler is an ass?

its like compairing lance armstrong to dave mirrah(sp?) sure they both bike, but differently. One does tricks and other races, both have the feel for the bike and can move it in many ways but not all the same.
 
umm...i really hope you're not serious that tanner hall can ski big mountain.

just because someone can launch off a booter and land in pow does not mean they can ski big mtn. i would doubt that tanner hall even owns or knows how to use a transciever, probe, snow saw or skins.
 
Kreitler is the man. He and Clint Fiala practically invented cork threes back in the late 90's and that fucker was still throwing cork sevens off a cornice in a recent TGR film. No respect from any of you, damn. The only thing about this site that really sucks is that crappy attitude towards what came before you.

Some say he a bit arrogant, and perhaps his comments show he has his guard up a bit against the new crop of kids dialing in their skills, but as a true pioneer who could do everything, he brought a new image and attitude to our sport along with McConkey, Seth, Holmes and more when it needed it the most. Watch some old MSP and TGR films and see Kreitler doing it proper. This is a really stupid thread.
 
yay for KK and big mountain skiers. Sure i'm sure kids who exclusively ski the park couldn't go down 100 feet on a face in AK before their legs turn to noodles, but everybody does with what they have. Park, or powder, or both for skiers like Pollard, Ant, Pep, you can't ski what you don't have or don't enjoy. Respect for all big mtn skiers, but park skiers too who ski the park like beasts...
 
Don't feed people bullshit about Tanner Hall not being able to use a beacon or probe when you live in Ontario. When's the last time you packed a beacon, probe, or shovel(whose primary purpose it would be to dig people out of avalanches, not shape a booter)? Ya, that's right, ice doesn't slide...

You guys are all taking this way to seriously. I was talking about the majority of people I come across and ski with that "claim" they're big mountain skiers and rip on jibbers. I said the "majority". Maybe I was a bit to broad in my terms but I definitely wasn't comparing these guys to people like Julien Carr, Hugo Harrison, Shane and other elitists. I have respect for the guys at the extreme freesking comps. I know how good they are. I ski with a lot of them! I'm just sick of people saying that jibbers suck at skiing because they jib. Does it really matter to you if someone sucks at skiing? I thought it was all about having a good time and being with friends. I didn't realize how SERIOUSLY people take this sport. Most of the pros I know don't take skiing as seriously as most of the people I come across on this site. Whatever though... Whatever makes you happy right?

Kent's been there shredding for ages, probably before you were born. don't shit talk one of the greatest big mountain skiers.
 
i wouldnt know ive never met him, but i do agree with the whole "kids who only ski parks arent really skiers" thing.
 
I know he is a good skier. My point is why does he have to insult so many people all the time with no provacation whatsoever.

That last article in Powder he's just saying "here's some pictures of me and my friends, by the way, everyone on newschoolers sucks." What the hell was that for?

Before you tell me to get out of the park, remember that you don't know me, or what I ski. I've been dropping cliffs since before skiers were allowed in terrain parks. But I have respect for good skiers in any aspect of skiing, big mountain, park, or even racing. I don't see why everyone shouldn't be totally stoked on whatever anyone else is doing. It's all fun and it all takes work and skill.
