Who Else lost a toenail this winter.

every single season, they fall off early summer, take till early fall to grow back, and then very shortly there after, die off again.

i've never lost a toenail

but i shut my finger in a house door ...the whole thing came off a week later like there was no nail at all

took like 3 months to grow back completely

i lost 2 last year and one this year, so nasty. i also have a second ankle kind of on the side of my foot, my boots caused it to swell or something so there is a bump, man i need new boots...

i have both of my big toe nails for the first time in years. thats cos ive been injured all season! i normally lose both pretty early. its awesome.

ya it only hurts when it first happen then its just ugly and there. i lost mine in may though and my shit looks normal now.

I lost mine 2 years ago, and my feet are UK 14 so the nail is HUGE! Anyway it never really grew back properly and it smells BAD...

Also when it happened it got blood underneath it and so I had to stick a pin through the nail and pierce the skin underneath, was painful but kind of a nice release...

This is the first season I didnt lose a toenail. usually I lose both. I blame it on the shitty snow year we had, so lack of big jumps to land backseat on.

yeah same. except it grew back sideways kind of and back up my toe so now there this huge bump that gets caught in my sheets and socks and shit. but i fixed it with some nail polish and a little sanding

lost mine (big toe left foot) in like October and it is almost fully back

also lost my right thumb nail because of my Fks

yeah i lost mine in my last nz winter..... toook like 4 months to come off....the black bit only coverd 3/4 of my toe nail.... so that 3/4 died, but the other 1/4 didnt, so my lose bit would always catch on shit... had to cut that off, then i had 1/4 of a toe nail for like a month

Yes fucking toe bang sucks. first your nail goes black/purple them it like gets realy loose and like rips off when u take your sock off. OUCH!

I've only lost one toenail ever, and that was a long time ago when my parents dropped a trophy on it haha. Lost a fingernail because it got slammed in a door, as well. I've never lost any body parts because of skiing, seems like you guys need better fitting boots.

no toe nails...but i have a bone in my foot that shifts in the winter...my doc said its just from standing up on it so much all the time...it sticks out the side of my foot more then it should...more in the winter...in the summer is slowly goes back to where it belongs. but i had to have my boots molded ot my feet and custom fit for it and stuff!!!

wait wat is it about skiing that makes u lose toenails? I've lost mine once wen i dropped a stapler on my big toe the toe tore right off

you only need to get through the nail, you wanna try not to get into the skin underneath.
and a drill works better than a pin as well.

drill press is the best, with a very small bit and put the blowtorch on it obviously before you do it.seriously doesn't hurt at all cause you can go super slow until it bursts and it is accurate. Only had to do it on fingernails though, my big toenails usualy crack early on in the season sideways so the pressure is relived, sometimes they fall of though.
