Who Else Is 5' 10'' and likes to ride big skis?

i'm 5'10 and i ride 174. i wouldn't go higher than 177 though. 181 would be wayy to big for me.
 
im just barely 5'10" and i have 171 invaders which are way too small. ill be moving up to a 180ish and a stiffer ski
 
I'm about 5'6" on a good day 5' 7" and I ride the EP Pro 185cm, Hell Bent 179cm and the '09 JJ in the 188cm length. Rockered skis ski so much shorter than they look since there is only like 100cm underfoot touching.
 
181 should be good

im 5'10 and i like a longer ski better. ive got 189 obsetheds and 181 addicts and they are perfect.

i had 176 chronics and those felt kind of short. i will never dip below 180 now. i kind of want to start looking at 190s
 
If I have 174 cm long skis for park, would 188 be too long as a powder/all mntn ski? I'm 5'10 and about 175-180 lbs.
 
it depends on what ski and what you're using it for. im 5'8 and i ride a 183 stiff pow ski, and its not even close to being too big. i ride a park ski in the mid 170's, so a 181 would definitely not be too big for you
 
im 5'9'' and i ride 191 (touring) 185 (all mountain/pow) 179 (park/all mountain) and i think thats perfect for me. if i were just skiing park id prolly get a 176 but yea, thats where im at
 
some of it depends on what 181 skis you are looking at

I'm about 5'10" and all my skis are 180-185 i consider the seth to be in the 180's the 179 is like a 183

also depends on how much you weigh and how strong you are
 
It doesn't matter. As you have just seen from all the replies, people your height can ride anything from 171 to 189. It depends on what kind of skiing you like.
 
im 5'9 185 and rode 171 invaders for the past few years this year got ahold of some new 181 thrusters and i love the length so much more stable on landings go big...
 
I'm 5'11" and I skied on 178's this past season. I'm moving up to 181's next season. I just feel more comfortable on longer skis because of the extra stability, especially bombing into big jumps.
 
im 5'10 and ride 176's...but i like to jib a lot so i think shorter is better there, but if i were just doin jumps and very little jibs, id deff. be riding 181's

If you center mount your shit you can get away with a fucking huge ski. I'm 5'9 and run 181 pipe cleaners center mounted.
 
i would laugh if you rode anything smaller...

i refused to sell a 6 foot guy a 169 PE when i worked at a shop, and got quite the verbal beatdown for it...
