seriously, come on... it looks like they went outside of their offices in vail or something and just snapped a quick pic. super gay, and let me tell you, nobody would bling out that much under armor like the guy looking "tough" in the ad. seriously, unless the "i-just-stepped-out-of-sports-authority-with-a-$700-bill-on-my-credit-card" look is in, which it isnt, nobody wants to be that gay.

under armor has managed to finnagle its way into other professional sports like football and basketball, but somebody needs to tell them how it is and tell them theyre whole marketing campaign SUCKS!
 
I think that Under Armour is a lot better than most base layer companies. I mean there cold gear is pretty bad ass and warm also.

Oakley is going to have some real base layer this season, I might switch to that though.

I think that you are thinking too mucch if you are complaining about this.

i could care less about the products themselves, i have a few different articles of under armor and i like it all....i was referring to how gay the ad looked

thats really a good description. i agree the ad sucks. all their ads ever have sucked. all their products suck. what the fuck are they even doing in this industry??? no one invited them!
 
the shirts are supposed to be tight. and the invention of under armour created an entirely new market, one which nike, addidas and just about everyone else still cant top under armour. i think that means there doin pretty well. and yeh it may not be xxxxl clothing but i garuntee you its all super quality materials and functions great.. but im sure ns doesnt care how it functions, cuz we all know looks is all that matters. 
 
oh yeh and ua is based on maryland so i doubt they stepped out theyre office. cuz trust me thats nowhere in md.

but side story on ua, the ad with all the black kids on a bus and then all the white kids on another bus, the white kid team is my football team as a kid. the creator played for em to its kinda cool ad, or i think at least. 
 
I am a big Capilene fan myself. Under Armor is stupid and annoying and worn by football players, who I have a very hard time identifying with. How they ever ended up in skiing is anyones guess.

My biggest problem: Why are all of their models looking like they are at a funeral? This is skiing, it is supposed to be fun and happy, and these fruitcakes are looking like they are about to kill someone.
 
they're taking a similar approach to what nike has done and try to get into everything they can. they started off making baselayers for football players, now they've expanded to batting gloves, cleats, casual wear, and now winter apparel. i agree, if they are trying to reach the newschool market they are taking the wrong approach, but i'm willing to bet that this new winter line will sell great at every retail sporting goods store.

i don't see what the big deal is with target and shit. why is that considered a sell out? the whole point of being a proskier, is to make a living doing what you love right? whats wrong with making a REALLY good living doing what you love. if being sponsored by target is being a sell out than so should being sponsored by subaru and paul mitchell. good for simon and nate adams and all the other action sports dudes, i dont see what you can be all bent out of shape about. and whats wrong wiht underarmor branching out? yea the're stuff is a lil loud and not really that cool at the moment, but give em time. its a big company with a lot of technology and i garauntee that they will be making some sick stuff in no time. look at spyder. they used to make just race stuff, there first couple "freeride" jackets and outfits were ugly as sin, but now CR and the the rest of the team have shown them the light.

I support under armor for sports, I would never buy nike or reebok shit because under armor pioneered it, they deserve the money.

but for skiing underarmor is lame, polarmax is where its at.

under armour started making backpacks this year and they cost $60, nearly half my school has the same backpack, BECASUE ZOMGZ UNDER ARMOUR IS TIGHTTTTTT
 
i haven't seen the ad, but i don't know how that thin shit can keep you warm in the winter. If i wore that shit i would die.....that fucking stuff will kill you at -40 to -50. When i ski i bearly sweat, and it has to be fuckin hot to make me sweat. THE BEST base stuff is the cheep misty mountain canadian tire fleece. Yeah i said it. Its SUPER warm, and the polyester wicks anything away. Why the fuck would i spend 100+ bucks on something i can get for a third of the price that works twice as well.
 
i wear under armour for football and baseball and i like it. but still under armour is gonna make a shit load of money with there new jackets and pants
 
haha i totally agree i can't stand that ad in freeskier everytime i read it i wanna punch babies, its ridiculously bad i mean hes just going off 5 foot rock like said up there.

that could be the most ignorant comment ever. you sold it before i even heard of it? where did you get that from? especially because if you read the post below i grew up where under armour was created, i played for the same youth football team as the owner, he lives 3 minutes from me and i worked at one of the first stores to sell ua. im not gonna argue about something so stupid as to who know about it first. all i was trying to say is under armour slays it at most shit they do, and yeh its no saga or aeryx but im sure itll function well and be a good jacket.

common though i knew about it first? thats like 3rd grade shit like nah i knew what weed meant before you shit. grow up
 
Like just watching the commercial they had on Freeskier T.V. and the add in Freeskier magazine shows how they have no clue about the sport. The skier in the magazine is wearing a hunting camo shirt under his gay coat, military style camo is cool but not hunting camo. How do they expect to sell that crap to us.
 
it's a fucking jacket and pants. if you dont like it great but underarmour is not a big deal to anyone except a handful of stupid kids on the internet. also, if you don't like it just cause football players wear it then you're a fucking idiot. Tons of athletes wear UA (or some similar product), such as baseball, track and field, and softball players.
 
I say we just straight up boycott them. We don't need them in our industry. We need more Orage's etc. Buy real skiing companies! Not this shit! BOYCOTTTTTTTTTTT
