Who else experiences this sensation? ASMR

dude when i see edits, and the edit has a dope song, and i hear that same song again i think about skiing and get 'asmr' so bad
 
I get this in class when i listen to music. I always described it as scratching an itch inside my head, had no idea it had a name.
 
I don't get it, is it just like goosebumPs or getting a tingle down your spine? Doesn't everyone get that?
 
I only get it down the right side of my body. i suppose it is because the left brain is what interprets music and only the left side releases whatever chemical causes the reaction and as you probably know the left side of the brain controls the right side of body

noo.. it feels like tingling inside your head. Then I just listen to people speak and that feeling goes on. I go to stand by mode, and just forget whats going on around.

Don't know if that's the ASMR, but it surely feels epic. Happened few times in childhood, not really much nowadays.
 
pretty much this...it's like...gah I wish there were some sort of drug that induced it. it's the most trancelike state that I've ever reached by sober means. like a euphoric tickling.
 
No, it doesn't have to be just in your head. I get the feeling in my spine, both my arms and part of my legs. I also thought everyone experienced it but I guess not.
 
when it happens listening to music it's called frisson or something like that and everyone experiences it so all of you posting songs have it wrong

ASMR is completely different and is triggered more by random noises, visual stuff like, and physical feelings like someone rubbing your back

It's kind of like that, but yet different. Really hard to describe. Almost like a super relaxing and euphoric sensation.

I get this feeling when I watch someone draw something, not sure why though.
 
Git this sensation when i saw BB King live and he played The Thrill is Gone. The vibrato and emotion that that song conveys just turns my head into a post apocalyptic Chads Gap
 
Well yeah, many people get chills when they hear a certain section in a kickass song. That is why music is addictive. Dopamine is released in your brain and you want to get that sensation again, so you keep listening.
 
i get it every time i watch them play their song at the battle of the bands in school of rock

but does anyone else get it when you feel like you're about to get the tingles but they never come and it's really... uncomfortable i guess is the best word. this happens to me all the time and people look at me like "what the fuck is his problem" and i can't really tell them.
 
it's not like an exciting tingle...it definitely doesn't come from listening to a "good" song or a dope edit...I think a few of you guys are confusing this and a dopamine/adrenaline rush. if you don't have it, you don't know. if you do have it, you DEFINITELY know what we are talking about.
 
the slow and precise motion of then pen + concentration is what does it for me. I distinctly remember when I was in 2nd grade I felt it for the first time I think (or at least the first memory of it) when the librarian was reading a book and the sound of the page turning would trigger it. also her voice was super whispery/almost whistly, so whenever she pronounced a p or a t it would pop almost in a quiet way that would also trigger it. I felt like I was in an opiate high (but way better and more acute rather than a whole body high, much much much more heady) for the entire session. Definitely why I started doing drugs lol
 
It's like thinking about the game, but instead of getting mad, you get ASMR and yugen.
