Who else experiences this sensation? ASMR

It can be best described like this.

ASMR is when you watch someone doing something and it intrigues you to the point that you get tingles. That's the best I can do with an explanation.

Same happens with music and videos.

I experience this sensation when I watch a ski movie with loud speakers or music that gets me really stoked.

there is a whole research project in the process going on right now.

I get this exept when I see or hear something really lame and then I tingle in disgust (mostly to shitty pop music my teacher plays in study hall).

i always just called it an eargasm whenever i'd be watching a symphony performance or something of that sort and it was so perfect i shivered

holy shit no way I get these all the time now. I remember when it started happening more... wonder what set it off

I call it my Awesome sense, it's like Spidey sense but instead of detecting danger, it detects awesome. It's very helpful for situations where you're not quite sure whether awesome is afoot or not.

this song gives me tingly jinglies

listen to the part from 0:56 on. it's those crescendos at 1:06 and 1:23 that gives me goosebumps all over. the contrast between that soft, melodic rhythm building up to something with a little more power to it give me an eargasm.

I get this all the time. Mumford and Son's is good for it. also, this song:

and the kexp version of otherside where Macklemore says "I've seen oxycotin take 4 lives" where in the original he says 3, just shows that this shit's real.

Whoa, I get this all the time. Never knew there was a name for it.

I usually get it when I watch people draw/paint.

I always get goosebumps when listening to really powerful opera or classical pieces, or if I'm anticipating something awesome about to happen like a massive cliff drop in a ski movie or something.

i don't get it very often but this vid always gives me tingles ....

hopefully one day i'll be there too :)

Gets me every time, but yeah, mostly classical orchestra pieces and "epic" music do this for me, such as the Inception theme.

.

Hahaha I just started getting this a few months ago. At first I thought it the circulation being cut off in one of my limbs, but at one point i got it in my free arm so it couldnt have been that. But yeah it's pretty interesting and I'm glad i was this.

Usually happens to me with great music. Mostly Dave Matthews. Specific examples that do it every time are DDTW @ Fenway and Everyday>36 @ Fenway. Can anyone else do it just by thinking about something? I can.

i didn't even know that that is what its called but before i clicked on the thread i knew this was what it was about. weird

The last time I experienced this was during Candide's movie, Few Words. It just got me so stoked to ski that eventually I had goosebumps all up and down my body. Best feeling ever.

I get that feeling when i'm really high (inb4 i'm cool for smoking weed). If i'm baked and watching a crazy show I feel like I'm almost in a freefall and it's such an intense feeling all i can do it just smile and let it happen. I don't know if ASMR is what i'm feeling or just the effects of the weed but either way it's crazy.

Haha what!? I thought couch lock was when you were just too stoned to get off the couch. Learn something new everyday I guess!

Well I know what feeling you are talking about and I don't know about you but the only thing I wanna do is sit down and chill when I get that.
