Who Drives a modded import?

thats a fuckin nice automoile ......k series for life .......shits run so fuckin hard...and this is coming from a nissan dude

before i crashed it i had a 1986 toyota pickup, rusty as hell, with ford ranger bed... but maybe that not what we're talking about.

I want a 350Z, tuned up to my specs.

heres my integra, daily/ auto X car, if i decide to keep it, i have a built gsr engine with a GT35R turbo setup wating to be installed (hoping for low 10's)

PICT0035-2.jpg

heres the scuuby, looks stock, but ive done basic susp upgrades like rear sway and strut bars to reduce the crazy body roll. and some sweet upgrades under the hood that take it to 12's easy mwahaha.

oh and i have an upgraded top mount for those who will ask where the front mount intercooler is for those track #'s

its not installed yet. it will be this spring, im waiting till after winter.

12's isnt very difficult to run at all. gt35r, uprgade injectors(Ultimate Racing 900cc Top Feed Rail and Injector Kit), Walbro 255lph Pump, full decatted exhaust, perrin top mount, Hallman Manual Boost Controller @ 20psi. cobb accessport pro tune, and a good launch... if im not in 12's something is wrong with the car

and my last wrx rip... was running low 13's on stock motor, vf34 turbo, sti injectors and moderate tune w/ full exhaust, intake. so yeah, idk wtf your talking about buddy

keep in mind the wagon is only 80lbs heavier than the sedan. and this is the 06 so its a 2.5 instead of a 2.0

gt35R isnt minor mod lol. if this thread is still alive by spring ill post up time slips.

stock evos are supposed to compete with the STi. i wouldnt be comparing mods done to an evo to a regular wrx, evos are much easier to get power out of, i know this because i worked on them all summer long at slickmotorsports in downtown cleveland. i helped in building 2 of the nicest and fastest evos around. if youve ever been to nopi or w/e and gotten the little cards at the entrance, look at the silver evo on the background with the slickmotorsports banner across the window, and all the cf parts. 800+ hp on that.

i admit i am stupid. i didint even realize you were upgrading the turbo. that makes sense. my buddy swapped his 3.0 v6 in his eclipse for the 06 3.5 and its now pushing 300hp. so i see how an 06 wagon could run 12's.

about the evo. i plan on getting one this winter/spring then handing it over to AMS. im too lazy to get huge numbers lol. a 500/600 hp evo is my wet dream.

i reccoment taking it to buschur racing or shepperd racing. ams is good though if your willing to pay out the ass for work, it all depends on where you live though.

dude just do the work yourself, evos are sooooo simple to work on. and 500hp, you could do that on a pretty much stock block and head, would be pushing it, but you would be able to safely do it.

its more satisfying to do the work yourself, unless its something intense, like head work etc, and then its worth paying for a good guy to do it, not the first or cheapest you find. My $.02

I want your sube! I'll be getting a TS next summer, but I'm only planning on doing some minor drivetrain/suspension/exhaust mods on it with my limited funds. It will also need a ski/bike rack so that's $400 as well.

I just saw the biggest fucking rice rocket today.

No engine work dont, loud muffler, the ground effects lights, the metal spoilers, and FUCKING SCISSOR DOORS ON SOME ACURA.

Unbelievable

sooo many of these cars are sooo gay. seriously. who needs a 5 foot tall spoiler? why don't you just go paint some flames on the side of your car when you're at it.

I totally agree with you. However, keep in mind that the guys driving around with 6" exhaust tips, 4' wings, and vinyl flames on their cars are total douchebags and know nothing about making a car fast. There is a huge difference between a tuner and a ricer, and for some reason the general public lumps these two groups together because they both modify their cars in some way. And for the record, I hate ricers at least as much as anybody on this site, but it is funny to see the look on their face when they get destroyed by a station wagon.

1. in your profile you look like your not even old enough to drive

2. NICE PHOTOSHOP WORK! lol, theres no shadow under the car. :-)

i dont see how having an interest in sports cars makes you a douchebag. Learning about cars and how to make them faster/ how they work is an extremeley fun and rewarding hobby wether you like domestics or imports. im sorry you cant understand that, but i guess i wouldnt either if i drove a volvo.

i got pics of it in my profile. i drive a 04 evolution VIII. highly modded im pushin around 600hp right now its goin back in to get tuned on monday. heres the list.

HKS 272 cams, EcuFlash SBR Tuned, Vishnu adjustable cam gears, Perrin 3in downpipe, Perrin 3in Exhaust, test pipe, Walbro 255 fuel pump, ARP head studs, Exedy twin plate heavy duty cerametalic clutch, greddy type s, gt3076r kit with all hard ic piping and sbr fmic, 880cc injectors, snow performance meth injection.

are you the owner of a vagina....cause the way i see it, thats the only its going to be cheep. Unless your working full time, don't have a gf, live in a shithole, or are selling crack.

And i think the comment about V8s being stupid is just plain uneducated. No offence.....but a V8 has TONS of top end speed/power with no turbo lag, no sudden power hops...nothing. Look at smokey nagata's G35/Skyline, he has a modded twin turbo M45 engine in his Wangan power sled. The winner of lemans races are not turbo charged inline 4s.

You put an turbo charged inline4, beside a turbocharged v8....with the same turbo, injectors, ECU, everything....what will happen. The v8 will smoke the inline 4. Look at the new muscle cars that are coming out. Mustang with 300+ hp stock, Dodge charger 300+ hp stock, Dodge challenger 400+ hp stock. The new camaro...450 hp stock. Just look at those numbers. All i have to say is muscle is coming back, and its coming back with a vengance. ( hahaha that last line just sounded like the sequal to an action movie hahaha)

vince you dont understand how hard its going to be to get your integra in the 10's and even low tens. my friend with the 750hp typer fully built everything with slicks couldnt get traction and get under an 11.3. he was running a gt40r.

umm you get good deals on shit cause u been in the import scene for more than 6 years and you know everyone that you need to know. plus sponsorships from local tuning shops and such.

what do you think would be better. should i get a 2g eclipse GSX then put on a bb50trim and get like 400awhp.

OR should i get a like 1998 240sx then put in a sr20det and throw a bb50trim on that? then i can drift till my hearts content. but in my opinion an eclipse looks better.

opinions on both?

i know its going to be tough, but its a goal that im trying to reach. 750 is craazy! but i think im selling the integra, its not practical at all anymore, and i like the wrx much more and its alot more practical than the teg with awd and all (can actually drive it in the snow) my car scrapes on every fucking bump in the road, its rediculous.

to the person who has asked PhaedeD how we afford such things?

hes right, you gatta be known on forums, and the import community, have friends that know ppl, you personally knowing people that have their own shops and can help tune and whatnot.

that is partially true, second, we work our fucking asses off to make money, i have 2 jobs, putting myself through college, only thing my rents pay for is my insurance.

the integra i bought for myself soph year, and the wrx i got as a graduation gift (i payed the downpayment)

and for people that hate on people that theyre parents bought them their cars, thats just jealousy.

yup hes right. i paid for my car with my own money in a check that was in my name. now im not saying i wasnt givin this money but i made it myself being smart with the stock market and shit. as for knowing people thats what its all about, its not what you know its who you know. i have been in the import scene since i was 15, didnt even drive yet. i have built cars that have been in magazines, major race events and all sorts of shit like that. i have been lucky enough to meet people that live in japan and can directly send me parts for a fraction of what everyone else pays plus some of these parts will take you years to find in the U.S. if you can even find them at all.

If anyone ever has questions about imports at all, how to do shit, where to get shit and such dont hesitate to message me i can help you and if not i know someone that can.

oh and not to mention this is what i go to school for, i am currently taking a 9 month course on building nothing but race engines. this involves the building and the dyno tuning. be lookin for my shop to open in the next year, you know i will hook all you NSers up for sheeezy

You sucka'z dont know what a real car is

I drive a 93' Toyota Tercel

1 mo fuckin wheel drive

4 speed

144k miles

MODS

Engine

New Thermostat

Rims

12 Inch Alloys

Tires

Black

Exaust

Pipe

Vynils

you def dont need an sr20det to drift. i just invested in a 86 corolla gts, its gunmetal with black real jdm panasport wheels. its got quite a bit of rust in the 1/4 panels and theres a leak in the oil pan. hoping on one day swapping either an sk2 motor or a 1jz motor hehe.

but yeah, eclipes= dsm= money devouring piece of shit taht always breaks

i have a 1990 eagle talon tsi. its got just under 300hp, evolution 3 engine swapped in, evo3 16g turbo, full exhaust, full intake, short shifter, ported heads, running 12psi.

k, well im bored enough now to throw some pics on here, plus i am an attention whore. I still dont have any recent pics with the front mount on etc, these are all super old but whatever.
