vanular or pete olenick for slope

Top 3 in each event:

Slopestyle:

Jon Olsson

Jacob Wester

TJ Schiller

Superpipe:

Tanner Hall

Colby West

Charles Gagnier

You guys aren't aware of Candide at all, sad. I'm wagering Jon will take slopestyle, with Candide in second. As for Pipe, its anyones guess. People have a lot of "secret tricks" that they'll whip out for sure - Olenicks double flat, Simons cork 12, Tanner switch 10...? Who knows what Jon might throw either, its just way too crazy to even predict.

candide will throw down...that dude is crazy always goes huge, and shiller will throw some insane shit, im thinking some other top placers will be corey and sammy

yea u cant even perdict it, it is so crazy cork 12 double flatspin switch 10. and in slope i would like to see double cork.

I would like to see Jacob Wester up on the slope podium. seems like people has high thoughts about Jon after his success in the open :D Candide is a hot contender in both slope and pipe, jon too...

the only problem with olenick is that he has to throw his double early cus he needs the air..and then he has to land it perfectly to keep his speed and continue his run. olenick is a gamble but he may pay off.

PS CANDIDE FUCKING RULES

he was trying a 630 on to the down rail and he caught his ski on the end. Not totally sure how bad it was

Pipe -

Mike Riddle

Simon Dumont

Tanner Hall

Slope -

Jon Olsson

Charles Gagnier

and a random surprise

T hall in pipe that first switch hit in the open was huge, plus its a 7 instead of the avarage 5 for the first hit adding even more difficulty.

slope:

1 candide

2 jon

3 gangier

me thinks that thall will win pipe, hope he doesn't. dont like his style but give him massive respect

agreed. for slopestyle i think its anyones game. both tanners, tj, charles, sammy, jon, candide, wester.

as for pipe i think this is the year of candide. he has been so unlucky every year since i took his wx pipe gold with injuries in practice or prelims or whatever. i can asure you candide will put on an amazingly unexpected show this year.

I'm not sold on Andreas in pipe. Here's why...

Andreas will have his switch hits, and will probably execute them very well. His run could be super progressive as far as competitive pipe skiing goes. Here's the kicker though, the X-Games revolves around amplitude. Andreas just doesn't have that. I saw Riddle's switch airs in the US Open and they were pretty high, and the Aspen pipe is far better than the Copper pipe.

I'm sold on the fact that Tanner will win pipe. I don't think Dumont should place (amplitude vs, technical) but I'm sure he probably will (especially with Target and Oakley as sponsors). The only way Dumont will not place is if he falls. I see Riddle coming out of nowhere. Same with Colby.

Pipe is really anyones guess...

I mean no one really expected colby to podium at the open, but he did.

Tanner and Andreas will be dropping in switch, Tanner might through a switch 1080 first hit???

Dumonts going to go huge as usual, plus he's got the 1260 for his last hit.

Olenick can usually throw down a clean run and now he has a double.

Jossi Wells threw down at the NZ open, he could surprise everyone.

I havent seen Gagnier ride pipe, but apparently he's super under rated and he did get 4th at the open.

As for slopestyle...

Gagnier will link together one of the most impressive runs and maybe pull off a switch 10(maybe even cork)octo-grab.

Jon and Jacob have there double flips.

Andreas did both switch 10s in the open, back to back, clean as fuck.

there's just too much talent to decide

candide will be goign huge and who knows what his sw pipe capabilities are

lolo will be throwing down swithc

will jon try the roo flip in the pipe?

....
