Who do you think is the best US presidential canidate thus far and why

I figured this appropriate after the latest democratic debate.

I'm interested to hear the political views from other peeps on NS. Don't just post the reasons as to who, but give a reason too.

obama but he is just almost to good to be true coz he is young and there isnt a lot of history on him he really never did anything wrong even tho he is a democrat

I personally believe Barack Obama is the best fit for the presidency in 08. I agree with most of his views (which is slightly odd because he's a Dem and I'm a Republican), and I think even more then that is his personality. If you think every one of the voters in the U.S. knows jack shit about any of these Canidates, get real. I think when it comes down to it, it's their personality that whens elections. Barack Obama, I've never even met the guy before but he just appears so good-hearted, non-malicious, humble, even trustworthy. I think thats the image he's built for himself, while a guy like John Edwards doesn't convey an image so strongly, and Hilary is the evil bitch of this campaign. I'd also like to add I will fall out of my chair if a Republican takes the office again in 08.

Oh, and the Obama Girl gave Barack alot of votes, too.

how is Hilary an evil bitch? if you had watched the debate last night you would have seen that she was the most confident speaker of the night, and did well to dispel the reputation of being cold and bullheaded. if you look at her political record it has every qualification needed and then some, and she has been able to sway the opinion of those in her own state who originally ha a dislike of her, though i would rather have her husband in there again. that being said i think obama relates better to the american public and does not have the same misguided rep that hilary has. he is well known as a charismatic speaker, though that was hard to convey last night as it seems he was responding to attacks most of the night. both will be great leaders if elected, though i agree more with obama's politics.

ok, it sounded like you said that, but it's ridiculous how public opinion has construed this image with absolutely no evidence to support it.

barrack. he seems honest. he seems like a good guy. and he seems like exactly what this country needs right now.

i hate hillary because she does that politician thing where if shes asked a question she just goes right around it and talks about how awesome her ideas are. also she wants to ban violent video games.

The reasons that I don't think hillary will be elected is:

1) she's a woman

2) other countries don't have the same respect for women that people in the US and Canada do. Some foreign relations would go down the drain quite quickly. It's not that america isn't ready for a woman president, it's the other countries we need to be dealing with.

im sure any pres would be better than that dipshit known as george w bush!!!

as long as its not hillary clinton, i could give a fuck who the next president is...

i hate when people say that. because such a huge percentage of america says the same thing... my one vote doesnt matter..... if you get a few people to realize thats the worst theory ever and vote... it will make a difference

mommy no!

i dont care 2 things are gunna happen

1 the whole worlds gunna blow up

2 if someone does fuck america over for good...canada here i come

ok i lied theres a 3rd

i have no fucking (sorry for the bad language mom) clue what the dif between republica/democrat or w/e else there is

were people people do what people want me on the other hand

i do what i want

periods are so over rated

cool people just hit

enter.

what a dipshit...

its that kind of thinkin right there that is gonna screw this country up even worse than george bush..

keep on thinkin that man and one day about 30 yrs from now your gonna wake up in your shitty one room apartment, alone with no girlfriend or wife, reaizing that you shot the world to hell and you no longer have anything to vote for in the first place!!!

ok then what do u want me to do?

vote for the wrong person?

i could fuck the world over that way too ya know...

and shut the fuck up u are a fucking retard stop claiming u ride for ninthward sann

it isn't hard to educate your self on the issues that are imporant to this country.

If you(and everyone who doesn't vote) did that, and voted accordingly, maybe having a backup plan of moving to canada wouldn't be needed.

i could

but i dont want to

maybe my thoughts will change, maybe they wont, by when its time to vote. but for right now id rather not worry about the world coming to an end, cuz if it does ill be happy believeing in what i believe in, not what other people tell me too

I guess I would just add, then, the process of determining how you do vote is a lot of about finding out what you personally believe about everything that governs this country, not what others tell you.

That is the beauty of it. It is your vote. It is what you want. And it does matter. And there really isn't anything that you have that is as unique as it.

I would just hope that sometime before the next election, which isnt for awhile, you take the time to learn about the issues that are significant in this country.

ok then im not gunna go search on google for the people running.

so could u tell me who is the one thats actually trying to "prevent" global warming,

is actually going to stop this "war" that bush has going on

isnt going to take away our rights ( that whole 5th amendment thing bush has got up his sleeve)

someone who is actually going to speak the truth not cover "mistaks" up

and someone who skis

find that person make them run for president

and you got yourself another voter

Seriously, educate yourself. Iggy and El are right man. You can make a difference. You should care about yourself and the people in your country and what's going to happen...I'm doing my part in educating myself and it would make me happy to see other people doing the same.

Are you indirectly, or even directly affected by taxes, foreign policy, immigration, crime reduction rates, and the other seemingly-minute things that don't haev to do with the huge debates like global warming and pro-life/pro-choice and whatnot?

If you're not you either don't live in America, you're young, you don't have a job, and/or are just an ignorant commoner who goes through life blindly and doesn't care what happens in his own country. If you are old enough to vote, have an opinion of some sort. I know we'll have even more voters in the next few years because the people are so much more interested in politics (because of Bush no doubt) rather than stupid fucks who laze around on their butts all day.

being 17 i havent been to effected by those such things

i will be 18 by the next vote so maybe ill put a lil more thought into it and do a lil more research

i doubt ill vote but ill have a broader presective of this whole thing

just remember it is along time before you will get to vote for the next president.

I was just 18 when we had the last election, and although the dems lost, I am still very happy I voted and did everything I could to keep Bush out of the white house. Sometimes it doesn't go your way, but even when it doesn't, your vote still means something.

i dont know they keep changing their views to much, i really need to decide to cuz this is the first election i can vote in

im 15 so i dont really care, and i wont care for a while. but im gonna say obama, because hes black. yes that is my reason and its a damn good one.

There must be one you like the most. Whose beliefs are the most inline with yours.

I will have certain disagreements with whoever I vote for, I am sure, because there are so many issues.

But they will still represent me the best in the government, and that is the whole point.

hes right, your not going to like any president fully. but the one you like the most is the one you vote for. not necessarily like, but more whose beliefs you follow, and who you agree with most on issues. but im only 15 so i dont know anything, fuck if i could vote id vote for obama solely because he is black. i guess thats why your supposed to be 18 to vote haha

actually i dont even care

"age is just a number"-my dad

and you should feel proud of yourself for arguing with 16 year olds over the internet

do you want my adress so u can come and play games with me?

maybe we can discus why you claim u ride for 9 and act so hard when really no one gives a damn

You really need to stop being such a douche. Age may just be a number, but maturity tells who a person is. You need to get your shit together.
