oh not doubting his ability for a second I just vaguely remember and interview this year where he was super stoked about winning contests and not even having to trip? So that leads me to believe he doesn't want to go down that road? Maybe I'm just imagining it hahaha

yeah that's totally been a thing for him. even when he did the first one, in that behind the scenes video with tanner he says something along the lines of "but how ill would it be to win without a triple?"
