You can always find some way to say that someones death wasn't that important but the fact is millions of people knew who she was and grew up with her songs. They are sad to see her gone. Now go fuck yourself

ok well the news isnt going to announce the death of every african child that dies who no one knows would they? that wouldnt make sense, a lot of people knew whitney and respected her and her music so of course many people are grieving
 
I know this is a troll thread, but I don't see the hype either. I didn't even know who she was until she died. Popular culture is one big flashy distraction from the things that matter: ourselves, our communities, and our passions.
 
I don't, but she dated Bobby Brown, that was pretty cool, definitely gave our sport some exposure
 
OP is probably the same kind of person that would turn around and shit on you if you said something negative about Sarah Burke, C.R, or Shane, yet because it's a famous celeb who happened to have a drug problem, it's wrong to mourn her death, and we should worry about all the starving kids in Africa. Well Whitney was insanely famous and popular before she died...so this doesn't really apply in this situation...
