Who cares about underrated/overrated?

I have seen so many thread about underrated or overrated people.

I know it's summer, but can we think of some better threads to make than debate over who is overrated or underrated?
 
Good call. Those threads never go anywhere. A few amazing skiers get insulted, and the general concensus ends up the same as before; no matter how over-rated a skier is, we all still know two things: A. They're still far better than nearly every person on this site will ever be, and B. A bunch of complaining kids isn't going to change what people think of a "pro" skier. This isn't meant to insult the people who were having intelligent discussions in the threads, but what is the point of calling out pro skiers on how much hype they get?
 
i think it's fine to talk about over/under-rated skiers...give me a break...why can't we talk about what we like and dis-like about pro skiers....people do it in every other sport...you guys are the whiny little bitches that are complaining
 
Not once in my repsonse did I "whine" or "complain". I simply stated that in my opinion those threads never end up going anywhere, and that I don't understand what people get out of them. If you took the time to thoroughly read my response, I actually specifically said I WASN'T trying to insult anyone who was having a useful discussion.

these threads get old... do you really want to look and see a ton of overrated or underrated skiers? what is that doing for you? are you seeing a new trick or some cool pictures or anything productive? no no no and no. arguing like a 5 year old about who is overrated and underrated is dumb
