Who can do these longboarding tricks?

I can do half of this, but the kid i skate with can literally do all those tricks with style. He's probably putting out a sponsorship edit soon.

Thats cool and all but still, being a skateboarder, long board edits like these I just can't take seriously. I'm not judging or hating on them, and I'm glad the kid obviously has a passion, but it's just tricks on longboards like that just look so awkward and pointless. I find videos of people flossing down hills and pulling dope slides so much cooler than seeing a kid do awkward kick flips on a board thats too big.

its sort of like slopestyle mtbing vs bmx

you basically take a heavier thing of something and do hard tricks that are pretty easy on the original thing.

whatever floats your boat though

Exactly. If you're going to do flip tricks, pick up a skateboard. I like the flow of longboarding, if you know what I mean.

But back to the original point of this thread, I can cross step decently. However, since there is nothing to do in CT, I plan on longboarding as much as possible over the summer.

where are you in CT? I live in Fairfield and have about 20 friends that longboard pretty regularly, half of which are pretty good, and about 4 of which are on the level or close to the level of the kid in this video. There are big sessions going on all the time in my town.

He is on the Jr. Team. He is 14. Michael Virgin Jr. Most of this is filmed across the street from my house so I get to see him shred all the time!! Original will be putting an edit out of him soon. They flew him out to N. Jersey last month. Me... I can only do slide 180's haha and I bomb hills and garages.

haha, i know. i live less than 10 minutes from the factory. im always there in the summer. my buddy jay cagney does all the filming for them. they have some skiing edits to.

Very cool. Your buddy Jay does some awesome filming... Michael is a great kid!! Looking forward to his best edit ever.

well yea, thats cool

im just saying that a longboard isn't designed to do tricks on in the same way that a skateboard is. and id rather see them done on a skateboard because its more aerodynamic

If you're speaking specifically about dirt jumping maybe.

If you're talking about actual slopestyle MTN biking no. They go WAY bigger than bmx guys.

Think a bmx rider could do this?

I live in Farmington, it's about an hour north of Fairfield. I'd be down to ride, but an hour drive is a little much just to go longboarding haha.

do you know Jake Wade? He is a friend of mine and He's sponsored by nelson. I know the nelson crew is a tight one.
