Who builds forts in the forest?

Me and my friend recently built a fairly large tipi with a fire. we made this on an island on the river by my cabin. Anyone else who has made a fort this summer, post em up!

me and my buddies did some Bear Grylls camping this summer and made a really sweet shelter, ill post pics when i can

2 years ago I went backpacking with a group of friends in the early winter, it was snowy and a good amount of snow was on the ground,, so instead of a tent, we set to on a bad ass shelter. We leaned a bunch of llimbs against a tree, teepee style, lined the outside with pine bows and another layer of sticks, lined the floor with pinebows, a space blanket, and more pine bows, and crammed 3 people in it. It was so warm we woke up in the morning with melted chocolate in the shelter.
 
You got to build a snow shelter. Never done it have always wanted to and apparently they are really warm cause the snow doesnt get less than 32 degrees or somthing like that
 
Used to be a nice fort in the glades off gooesbumps at 7 springs. heard they took it down cause too many people were hot boxin it.
 
I make forts like whoa.

This one is the only one I have a pic of though. Fits about 4-6 people depending on the people. The view is nice too and once the snow blows in, we can make a door and seal the sides off igloo style for some insulationand warmth. Next time I head up I'm hiking up a snowboard bench and some candles so we'll have something to sit on and warm it up with.

dude thats so sick. my uncle did the same thing out of manzanita brush but he uses it as his retreat to smoke pot, read from the bible, and meditate.
 
Damn, this puts mine to shame... I'm hoping to get back to my cabin soon so I can work on making this one bigger. It was pretty sketchy when we built this cause most of the work was done at night and I see bears and cougars at my cabin occasionally. Also to add insult to injury, I chopped through a hornet nest directly behind the fort when I was cutting saplings
 
at cmc Leadville me and some guys buitl a fucking long house.... could hold like 12 peeps in it.. and it was all good untill the snow pwnd it. then it only held like 8 peeps.. but we used to have fires in it.. and drink a shit ton of booze an smoke lots of pot. . great times... sorta the same thing..

the house i live in now is my buddys old house so when we were kids we would go to the creek/ goochen and play and hang and shit.. so we decided to dam up the creek so we could swim.. we had a cool little fort down there so we figured a swiming spot would be fine.. so we dammed up the cluvert at the bottom of the creek and the water rose...... and fuck... it worked very very well. so well that we buitl a dock and a zip line across it. pretty fucking tits.. but then... when the water was like 4 feet deep( wich took about 2 weeks to fill up..) my buddy and i went down and his dog came with us.. and proceded to piss and shit in the water.... so we unpugged it. and started new..

during the next fill up.. we came down to check on the water.. and a fucking racoon had deceded to just die on our dock .... just a dead fucking coon. so we cleaned it up and then finaly we go to enjoy our swiming hole...

so yeah i am a fort fucking master.
 
when my friends and i were younger we used to build forts all over the woods and then other kids would build forts and we'd knock theirs down and theyd knock ours down and i dont have a lot of friends in this neighbourhood now because of that
