Who bikes in here? need advice

thats a great pricefor a bike with decent components....but the only thing that im wondering about is if the rear derailieur is ultegra or 105...the ad says "

Shimano Ultegra 105 Rear Derailleur", and they are two very different pieces. the ultegra is a lot lighter and smoother shifting.. id look into that.

but overall thats a good setup, with the exception of the wheels, but if you drop another 350ish you could get a nice set of mavic wheels that would be a lot lighter.

well it looks like a really good bike, but if by saving money you mean riding it instead of driving a car, this might not be the bike for you, that bike is more of a race/ triathlon bike. Its not really meant for going on city roads and stuff. But it all depends on what you use it for.

well I plan on riding it to school(a mile),but i am also doing acouple triathlons/speed triathlons over the summer, about one a week

sweet bike, sounds like you got a good deal

what length triathlon are you planning on doing?

and yes, that bike might be a little more finicky on city roads and such, but a road bike's a road bike. I personally ride my cyclocross bike to work, i need to slap some slicks on it, but it performs pretty well

id do it, but only for the triathlons and races. biking to school with that badboy would be too easy, you would probably take detours to stay on the bike longer.

Do you know what size you need? Thats a 58cm which is pretty big.... you should probably get sized at your local bike shop to see what is the proper size for you... i work at a shop and would help you out but where do you live? How tall are you and what size length pants do you buy? If you tell me those two I can give you a rough idea of what size.. later

6'1'' 170 but when I run il be at 150-160, i hav fucking long legs i wear a 32x34 but i sag my pants hardcore

personally im into dh and i would not take the risk of riding my bike to school unless i knew it would be in a vandalism-free environment. make sure it is safely secure and the wheels can not be tampered with, seeing they are quick release, you do not want one of those stolen.

Yeah man im only 5'10 but i have long ass legs too so i ride a 58cm frame.... so you'd prob be good on that... but once you buy it i'd get fitted at a bike shop so the reach and everything else is correct... pm me if you have any questions... later man
