Who are you voting for?

In the United States, who are you voting for to be the next president? If you feel necessary, add why in a post!

(note --> Cruz and Kasich dropped out of running)

Why would anybody vote? All of the candidates suck. I seriously don't understand why people still feel the need to vote for these pieces of shit.

Honestly, I will probably write in the third party just to hope it will help introduce another party for federal funding. MA will fall Democratic like it always does.

People should vote regardless of how they feel because ultimately, whether or not you like the Presidential candidates, the Congressional candidates are just as important, if not more. We have all seen the last 4 years of gridlock, it is likely we will see another 4 after this regardless of nomination.

The first time I was able to vote in a presidential election, I thought the same thing. But then GW Bush got elected and I saw that not voting was one of the worst mistakes I could have made. He completely fucked us over and basically dragged the world with us. While Gore was far from perfect, there was always a better option than Bush. And not picking that better option left us with one of the worst presidents we've ever had (he ranks 38th out of 44, historically). Because a lot of people didn't vote for the lesser of two evils, we got stuck with one of the shittiest presidents ever. Is this an ideal way to look at politics? Definitely not. But when you have a ridiculous 2-party system, you have to be a realist at the end of the day and examine it as such. Pick the better of the two and go from there.

If you really want there to be change, you have to start it somehow. Sure Hillary might not be the best option (I'm still hoping Bernie can pull through) but she will without question be a better president than Trump. From what I can tell, she most likely won't be any worse than Obama (who according to historians will most likely clock out ranking 15th). At least she won't work to set back voting rights, the rights of homosexuals, women's rights, deny climate change, increase racial tensions, etc. She's far from perfect, but America will be better off for it and after her we can hopefully make a more positive step.

Side note- if Bernie doesn't win the nomination, I hope he doesn't form a 3rd party. That would be Nader all over again. In order for a 3rd party to realistically work, there needs to be a fourth party as well. Otherwise, it simply splits one of the two main parties, just as the Green Party did to the Democrats in 2000. If that happens, it makes it that much easier for Trump to win.

Obama clocks in at 15th best president?

Now I know everything you post is extremely biased and far from being a legitament source.

I hope this country can find a leader it deserves one day and leaves fucking pussies like you in the dust.

Most have him at 17th currently (and I can't find the article that predicted he would improve).

Wikipedia currently has him at 17th (probably the most comprehensive and thorough assessment in one place)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historical_rankings_of_Presidents_of_the_United_States

And Nate Silver from FiveThirtyEight also has him at 17th
http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytime...g-obamas-place-in-history-statistically/?_r=2

Siena College Research Institute has him at 15th, but that was done in 2010.
https://web.archive.org/web/20100706090046/http://www.siena.edu/pages/179.asp?item=2566

Of course, the final rankings will come in once he leaves office. But given all of the rankings currently available, no matter which one you look at Obama is in the average to good category while GW Bush ranks as one of the worst ever. Obama would need to slip out of the top 20 to be considered merely average, which is probably not going to happen.

If I lived in the US, I would (in most circumstances) vote Republican. Being the 'devil's advocate' here, it's undeniable that trump is very targeted and criticized in the media, way more than any other candidate. Although his ideas for mass deportations and mandatory muslim ID's, etc, are so incredibly stupid, I feel that if he was elected it would most likely not happen to the extent that it's portrayed now. He wants to tighten up immigration laws, somethings many Americans agree with. The shame is that he says these things in such a ridiculous way, thus painting him as a fascist minority-hater.

If he ran on a more moderate basis that he was gonna add initiatives to strengthen the U.S immigration strategies (instead of saying deport them all!) he would probably have the vote of many more informed voters.

I feel like at this point Dennis_Reynolds would be a better candidate than the current ones.

Bernie for the environment

Thank you for wasting your vote and for being stupid enough to vote for someone like Bernie.

Why women can vote is beyond me.

Johnson. Even though he has no chance, if he gets a decent percentage of the vote hopefully the general public will consider a libertarian candidate in the future.

The one thing I'm baffled by is how Trump made it this far. He's not a politician, has the intelligence of rejected lab rat, and is just generally an asshole to anyone talking to him. I'm hoping his campaign is just a troll on the entire Republican Party and that he'll drop out the day before election.

Yeah, and he'll mostly draw votes from Republicans, so Trump will be less likely to win. Johnson seems like the best candidate right now
