me mentioning the draft had nothing to do with thew presidency, it was the direction that america is headed in. I said i liked kerry more than i liked bush, if you could read son. Dont talk about terrorism in the u.s. and iraq in the same sentence, they are not related, and have nothing to do with each other. i agreed with afghanistan, but not iraq. if we went to war with iraq, we should have waited untill we accomplished what we set out to do in afghanistan.

skitheburg- WMD were definetly a part of the reason that we went in, but it wasnt all of it. Look back at exactly what happened. The cause of the war was that Saddam Hussein had had multiple opportunities (16 UN sanctions) to clean up his act and avoid major complications. He didnt do it. For 9 full years, his military was firing on US jets patrolling the No fly zone. He kicked out inspectors and completely flipped off the UN and the US. Does that sound like someone who has nothing to hide and is doing everything right? And beyond that, HE HAD 9 YEARS OF CHANCES TO DO WHAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO. That is considered a real threat, not only to the US, but also to our allie Isreal. There was also proof that genocide was occuring in mass proportions under Saddams regime. All of these things were considered in going to war against Iraq. You would be very shortsided and naive if you think that the President would wage war just on some intelligence that WMDs existed somewhere. He did it because he felt that it was the right thing to do, not only for the US, but the world as well.
