i cant believe how many people aren't mentioning guru. a lot of other guys are subjective, but we're talking about the all time greats- gifted unlimited rhymes universal . without guru any of those underground/conscious rappers wouldn't exist.

dre is good, but not that good. producing skills dont count. get off it.

finally, ellermann, madlib > MF DOOM.

Madlibs still a sick rapper, but DOOM is on another level.

im going to say again, tupac is not one of the top 5 rappers ever..neither is big l. Big L is real good but not top 5. tupac just sucks.

if you are talking about who is the best lyricist then that would be 2pac (because of his realness) or Raekwon the Chef (because of his vast use of slang), but if you are talking about the overall best rapper i'd say its defintetly Inspectah Deck, listen to his segments in both C.R.E.A.M and Protect Ya Neck.
