so summer is here, and that means tanning and planning your next ski season.

I did the last month and a half at kicking horse this year and it was sick, good crews, amazing terrain, not enough snow but the back country remains fresh for a long time.

I heard revelstoke is very mellow compared to KH but it has fuck loads of snow and thats a plus. is anyone there? would i get lonely, and whats rent like?

Then whitewater. Lots of snow, lots of back country, good crews in the past (are people sticking around next year?). i like the small hill feel too. and lots of snow.

whats the deal with parks at revy and whitewater. non existant?

we have a rail park at whitewater, and by teh sounds of it getting better for next year, but knowing the adams', i doubt it. doesn't really affect me though. and yes, theres lots of snow, lots of fun terrain, and there's a pretty good number of folk out here. come join!

Im not super concerned about a park, more jumps really. its just nice not being completely void of anything. whats rent like in nelson and how far is it rom the hill. its been a while since i was there'?

twenty minutes up to the hill, rent's decent i think? i dont really know. and myabe there'll be jumps for next year, i dontfuckignknow.

o we use it a bit. but yeah we will be getting a bunch more rails. i wouldent be to hopefull on jumps but we might get one(really small). you can just go make a bc jump, theres tons of places to or just find some natural stuff. i would defanitly suggest it.

if you neeed park

you can come to red which is about an hour and 15 mins from nelson

our park is pretty shitty but its been improving alot and there are always fun setups and good sessions, we just get creative.

oh and i wouldnt even consider park until late feb/march cause theres so much terrain around nelson.

apparently a all mountain park, with just man made and natural features to hit. I don't really care though, niether should you. I'm thinking of just building lips on cliffs to make it a flat horizontal surface.

Actaully, let me revise that. I just got an email from the horse, newsletter format, I just didn't copy it.

So, they are making an all mountain park that will include log jibs, natural halfpipes, and man made features located in 6 locations.

I heard pushing dirt around for jumps.

The marketing man talked about the all mountain park, i guess i will read one of those updates they send me

let me just clarify that revy is NOT mellow.

and all three of those places are super solid. You'll have fun at either. Whitewater is small but the backcountry is unreal and super easy to get to. Red is about 45 minutes or so away and it doesn't get as much snow but is bigger and has sick in bounds shit and good backcountry as well.
