anyone here from whitefish? i will be living there for business all through july and ive never been there! whats is like, what goes on in the summer... anything would be sweet! :)

I'm not actually from whitefish, I'm from polson rather which is 1.5 hrs south on Highway 93. I go up to Whitefish alot in the winter and occasionally during the summer. I know that Big Mtn (the ski resort in whitefish) has summer mountain biking. Whitefish Lake is real close to town, Flathead lake is also about 30 min south of whitefish. Glacier Park is nearby to whitefish which usually has some snowfields in the spring/early summer if you are hardup to go skiing. There are alot of places to go fishing, basically alot of stuff to do outdoors.

whitefish has lots of ridiculously rich people,a nd a ski mountain that is about as progressive as stale bread

however, once the pass opens, things get nuts

im down with the ridiculously rich people, thats the only reason im getting to go there and make $$$. as for the resort, i heard Big Mountain just got bought out, hopefully the new managment will get it on track.

i dont know the real story, im sure someone will post it after a while. all i know is that a rich dude owns it now and just recently purchased it. but hey i could still be wrong i guess. :)

they had a new ceo last year, but he isnt doing much so far, just trying to get the mtn in the black

i'm from ctown. i dont know how insane the pass will be, i cant get arrested again.
